Not a fan at all. It doesn’t whip up excitement, it’s not a song that gets the crowd going, it doesn’t align with any of our chants…..why have we suddenly started playing it?

    Rangers play it…..so what?!

I hope the club re-think the entrance music next year.

Watch WWE to see how entrance songs should be done. Triple H! For City, we need a song not as heavy given its a family atmosphere, but we certainly need something less limp than Penny Arcade - makes me think I’m spinning around on the carousel at Xscape!

It's all a matter of taste. Penny Arcade has always been one of my personal favorites, and I think it is a perfect entrance song. When it has been played, most people around me seem to sing and clap along with it but, as with most other songs, some like it and some don't. Nobody is right and nobody is wrong.

It went down well near me; people were singing and clapping along. I believe it was played a few times on North Parade after the game as well.

Music is funny, one person’s great song is another’s awful one. Personally I love it, takes me back to when I was young.

It’s got to be rock related and singalong , not something that would go down well in a funeral or a care home fitness class.;)

It's obviously a marmite song. I hate it but people around me sing and clap.

Went down very well in the block I sit in.
Love that tune, wish we played it more often so fans learn the words

For those that are saying they think it's the perfect entrance song, can I ask why? It's not rousing in any way and the lyrics are about playing on the slot machines in an amusement arcade. I don't get it at all

It is played 15 minutes before the start, wouldn't call it the song entrance personally. The dreary and poorly covered take me home is what I would call our entrance music. Even though the lyrics are different, I'd rather them use the actually version, as I can't stand that cover personally.

Agree. It means nothing to anyone less than the age of 50 and doesn’t have any links to City.

it just doesn’t a suitable choice to be used to gee up the crowd in a football stadium pre-match!

I used to love the A-team when we were in the Prem. Even Into The Valley was better.

Yes , very strage to me as I was brought up from about 12 years old with Soul, Tamla etc , so it dictates the venues etc . Even working in a City Centre pub for 5 years it missed me , perhaps why I don’t even recognise the song?

I'm over 50 and it means nothing to me! I love my music and have a very eclectic taste but like Kev, it's a song I'd either never heard or never paid any attention to before the last few weeks.

Well for me apart from the memories it is the music. If is lively and ppl can join in the chorus. The lyrics don’t resemble anything to do with City but for most of us who like it has great rhythm for clapping. I get our young city fans don’t know it or have even heard it before but let’s give it a proper airing as it might grown on you. I don’t like the current tune they walk out to I never have and ManU are claiming it.
I like Spirit in the Sky song which we are now dedicating to Sarce.

I like stuff that has the stadium bouncing, like the walls shaking. Penny arcade ain't a bad song as such but it's aligned with Rangers so would prefer something actually original that no one sort if uses. Sandstorm by Darude is used in college football in the states and that has the place rocking but might be a bit too high paced for the cast of cocoon in the Midland Road

We need something more uplifting and dynamic than Penny bloody Arcade. Something with a bit of attitude and paying homage to our German owner ...

Sonne by Rammstein fits the bill well .. and is child friendly with links to Snow White for our younger fans. The club may however have to distribute lyric cards until we learn the words better.
