So as I now have more time on my hands
I thought I would look and see what the actual VP capacity is currently -24800
Fleetwood have 2 blocks approximately 1300and there are around 200 that aren’t sold bottom of block A main stand
So by my calculations 23350 home tickets sold for Saturday Fleetwood might bring 300 possibly more being the last day of the season and the occasion, they will not have seen anything like it

The record attendance at Valley Parade is 39,146 for Bradford City's FA Cup fourth round tie against Burnley on 11 March 1911. The highest league attendance of 37,059 was for a Bradford derby match between Bradford City and Bradford (Park Avenue) on 17 September 1927 in Division Three (North).

 

It’s never happened in my lifetime inc the Prem seasons ..I’m sure as I can be.

I have been going since mid 70’s and I have never seen it

 

It was mainly standing when I first visited VP. My boyfriend/ now husband took me into the paddock, I think it was seating, but still lots of standing every time a goal went in. Both ends were standing where he normally went. It was crammed that day but no idea how many.

 

Other than the old stand , lost in the fire, Valley Parade was standing only. Even when the old midland rd was demolished ( concrete cancer) that was standing only throughout .

The stadium was very tired top put it mildly
With its faults the stadium is a world away from those days and rightly so
