I'd question how they got the change of segregation signed off by the safety officer as one of the safety rules for evacuations is that you can't walk past more than 13 seats to get to your nearest aisle which is why blocks are no wider than 28 seats. With the way the segregation banner was it blocked off the nearest steps so that probably means they concourse segregation wasn't moved. Even if the segregation gate could be moved the club would have to make sure there are adequate facilities in that section like refreshments and toilets

    Aren’t
Those two blocks at the end of the midland road for away fans have a permanent party wall so to speak in the concourse don’t they?

    No it’s a metal gate
It opens so the whole stand can be allocated to one set of fans, like the big cup matches a few seasons back

Well they did manage it, so I don’t see why they wouldn’t again, as long as Fleetwood agree

I wouldn't be surprised if the safety authority saw it at the match or after it and they've told the club they can't do it again. Ignoring basic safety rules like that is a very risky game to play and ultimately putting people at risk if something was to go wrongc

The half block is row E normally with city fans up to the cover on the seats , so all moving to the right and only 14 seats
Blocks F and G then away fans
For the Colchester game they moved the cover an entire block, so basically the same thing with reduced allocation for the away following
I am sure the club is well aware of any health and safety rules and in the event of any emergency, god forbid, I am pretty certain fans will be more concerned with getting out than causing trouble

They won’t get a fine…neither will Donny . As long as the club take proven precautions , announcements etc they won’t be.

Pitch access is always the fastest and safest exit route, not stairs , staircases and stairwells.

It happens at every ground around the country
You will not stop it and as long as it’s done in the height of joy and not fan bating like Carlisle
Then their are no issues with it
Why would you want to bait opposition supporters, when you have promotion to celebrate

Ahh fair does. Well it would make sense to move it then. Fleetwood will all come in one taxi.

    But surely it’s cheap tickets
Wait a minute, the last two games have been full price
    What’s the saying
Build it and they will come
Success and the fans will pay
The cheap ticket initiative has helped build the supporter fan base and been a massive success

they have to get to the aisle to get to the pitch. The 13 seat rule is getting to the aisle quick enough to get down to either pitch or then out to the back

When we played Oxford United (1 May 1999) didn't we squeeze the small away following into the top corner of the Bradford End (the bit closest to the 'tunnel')?

Confirmation that the game is a sell out and the club are working with local authorities to reconfigure the stadium to add limited extra tickets. The way this is worded does make the think what I said earlier that we did the changes for the Colchester game without running it by the safety authority and they've seen it after and got involved.

I note that the original capacity of the stadium when the final section of the NW Stand was completed was stated to be 25,136. However the club now have comment that it is 24,840. Not sure if the reduction of 296 seats is to cover the segregation rows in the Midland Road? Additionally I assume that at least 3 rows at the front of the Kop could be unavailable as a deterrent for pitch incursions. If they reduce the away allocation to one single block in the Midland Road, that would be about 650 seats. I would anticipate that Fleetwood would bring up to 300, so 350 unsold seats there.
I guess that with these reduced numbers, if City can get agreement to reduce the Fleetwood numbers, and with the ‘safety’ reduction, then a total sell out of all the available seats could result in a crowd of around 24,000.
    Anyone any thoughts?

It's worth noting that this season with ticket master you can upgrade tickets, so if a spare junior ticket is knocking about you can pay to upgrade it to a concession or Adult if that helps anyone.

Not all of block A in the main stand was put on sale, it looked like only half of that did so that will probably lose 200 seats. The 3rd front row of the Kop went on sale yesterday so there will be approx 250-300 unavailable for the front 2 rows. There's also a section that no longer has seating in the bottom tier front right which had seating in the past. Segregation in Midland Road will be around 300 so with them alone you are looking at 750+ seats that are unavailable.
