I'm not sure. Ideally, it would be a manager plus his own backroom team. Clean break from the three stooges and a group to stand up to ER. Wishful thinking I suspect.

Was back in work today (in Blackpool) and a Blackpool season ticket holder was telling me that Bowyer would be a great manager for us. Hadn't heard anything, am not in the know and highly doubt it will be him, but the Blackpool fan was gutted he was no longer there and thought he would be good. Can only see it being Greg though. Shame on Collins, was a bizarre appointment and from very early on was clear it wasn't right. Saturday was awful and it was inevitable unfortunately.

Sadly it is the correct decision but I also feel sorry for Collins. Rahic effectively dropped him in it when he clearly wasn't ready.

I acknowledge that Collins understood the risk he was taking when accepting the position, however, the fact he didn't even apply for the job in the first place tells me he didn't even believe he was ready. I suspect he felt some pressure to accept the job but he also probably saw it as an opportunity too good to be missed - therefore he isn't blameless.

I wish him all the best for the future and hope he makes it in management.

If is Garner, presumably we’ve made concessions that we weren’t prepared to make in the summer to now tempt him.

I know nothing about him, but the idea of another young coach having his first ever crack at it feels like a mistake.

And I don’t see what removing Collins only to put Abbot in charge would achieve either.

It’s hard to feel too much relief - the decision on his replacement will be made by the man who appointed Collins in the first place.

The only thing that would make me feel any better would be an announcement of a MANAGER, with an accompanying statement about appropriate control of first team affairs. And preferably a declaration that the Development will be discontinued after this season.
