Oh mate. You talk about cherry picking but then include minutes he hasn't even been on the pitch - give the lad a chance! Haha

Though I did have my figures wrong, it's one every 181 minutes - should have checked my working. Still, almost exactly 1 in 2, which was my original point

 

(unless I've added it up wrong again in which case I concede - I have him playing 909 mins since Barrow but have been wrong before)

 

Turns out I also need to do my maths again. I've added up the minutes 3 times and got a different answer each time so I've clearly no idea what the actual stat is but assuming it's lower then mine then either way you're correct, it'll be closer to 1 every two games.

 

Somebody with more braincells than me can feel free to 'do the maffs'.

 

Let's try watching the games and judge how his contributions have lead to positive results rather than looking at which numbers are bigger than the others. Goals, assists, goal involvements etc cover such a limited area. There's tonnes of other qualitative stuff that's not as easy to judge that should be added to the overall assessment of any player.

Completely agree. It's his overall contribution that I believe has been very poor at times, even if the actual stats look like they stack up.

 

Weirdly we are in agreement even if our judgement on his contributions are different.

This is like the James Hanson debates all over again.
