Kav is the teams Marmite.He is not the most technically gifted but opposing defenders never get a moments rest against him. Why did Baldwin give them a pen when under no pressure? He had a lot of time to control and clear the ball as he was not being challenged.

 

And impeccable timing. Lapslie wasn’t as poor as some make out but he certainly wasn’t as effective as against Colchester . I thought the game just needed the “ energy “ of Khela and it worked and certainly helped our middle if the park control.

When was his best game? I'm definitely not seeing what he brings to the side because even his "mobility" looks largely ponderous sometimes.

Look, he's scored and made the first, full credit to him. I hope he starts on Satuday and does the same and if he does I'll be the happiest bloke on here but I'm just not seeing it in his performances.

Totally agree , but in this instance I thought Romy had is worst 45 for us so far. Wayward passing on several occasions rather than doing the simple things well. He was very shaking and they were targeting him after the first 10 mins.

 

I don't bring it up to make it a would we have performed better with Cook in the side, it was the comment the Radio Leeds commentator said after the game that surprised me Kavanagh was on 10 goals for the season so far, and long may it continue, Alexander made it clear early in the season what he expected of Kavanagh yo close defender down even at the expense of his lack of goals but if he can add goals or assist that got to be a positive.
I still believe Mellon could score goals for us but not playing the game Kavanagh is being asked to play.
