After the last two away games where we created very little I see Alexander making quite a few changes so I would like him to shake it up a bit and tweak the formation slightly and go 3-4-1-2. Being Khela back in at the side of Smallwood and play Pattison in a free role/no.10 with Mellon and Kavanagh up top. The back 3 should consist of shephard Baldwin and a another in my eyes Crichlow but have a feeling Kelly will get the nod. Tayo has been shocking in the last two games and although I a not a wright fan in the LWB role I see him starting their tomorrow. If Pointon is still not fit to start then we must change things and I would also bring Leigh out from the cold and put him back on the bench.

Although I don't think Alexander will I would love to see this team selection tomorrow.

Not feeling pressure here, I have piece of mind! Mind you, if I see Rcb I’ll give him a peace of my mind:imp:

I still feel this was not a sending off, and featured some very good Oscar worthy play acting to get Patto sent off in the reverse fixture.

Indeed. A perfect set of results where us and Vale win and both Donny and Notts lose will see us top of table , 5 points clear of 4th place with only 5 games to play.

Kavanagh shouldn't be anywhere near the first XI. He's simply not good enough.

Yes he be better in a two but why change up the system to accommodate someone who just isn't very good? I'd much rather have Pointon, Walker, Lapslie or Tayo with Wright further forward taking that slot.

I think I've seen enough of Tyreik Wright for a game or two, to be honest.

Let's have Mellon up front with Pointon, Walker and Lapslie behind, and Smallwood and Pattison further back.

It’s massive today. Not because we need the points as with 5 games back there’s still time for a run. But because the team need to show they can bounce back. Confidence will be shattered.

the fact nothing gets said about Sarc gets me weirdly confident about his return loli

Must win. We should still be in the top 3 come kick off even if PV and Donny win, unless Donny win by 5 or 6.

Need to perform today, a good kick up the arse needed to this team. End the year strong!!

    Definitely must win.
    Can’t have another Tranmere performance.
Crewe 100% will not come to park the bus.
It’s just not what they do so no excuses about spoiling tactics or dark arts.

Tuesday was poor but our home form is our biggest asset and also our best chance of getting the majority of the points needed for top 3.

Can’t go to Swindon next week knowing we have to win as our away form is just not good enough.

You suggesting a change to a back 4?

Crewe are resolute away from home so it’s vital we score first. They’ve drawn more games than they have won but have only lost 4 times away from home. I have a feeling we could see another Colchester type result which will see us in a great position to cement top 3.

I’ve watched them several times. They are set up away to not concede , and rely on quick breaks to nick the game. I’d be very surprised if they came out as “ open” as Colchester …Very surprised !

Even if we get 9 from 9 at home, I think we might end up needing a result from one of the other away games too.

Crewe don't lose away from home too often, hopefully today is one day they do!

I'm not convinced we will win all 3 home games and I think I'm actually more nervous about them than I am our remaining away fixtures. I am looking forward to today but if I had the chance right now to time travel to 5pm and see that we've won, I'd take it.

    Khela has to start.
    Missed badly on Tuesday.
Shep, Baldwin and Byrne the back 3.

    You’ve seen us away right?

    I’m the complete opposite m8.
Home form (bar Tranmere) is what’s got us where we are now.

Shitting myself about our last 3 away games tbh

Admittedly we don’t look like conceding many but offered absolutely nothing going forward in the 3 recent away games.

    Tuesday worried me actually.
All the talk was about how it would be so much easier against a team who wanted to play.
This can’t have been based on how we’ve played away from home all season.
Some people seemed to think we could just turn it on and go toe to toe with a decent Port Vale side just because they were going to have a go at us rather than sit back.
I didn’t see the Bromley away win but I’ve seen the other 4 and the only ones we won comfortably were Tranmere and Carlisle (who were both absolute wank at the time)
The rest were very bitty and far from convincing.
You can’t just become a good away side at the drop of a hat.

It will be our poor away form (if it doesn’t improve in the next 3) that will ultimately cost up top 3 if that’s how it pans out.
