And I give him credit for that. It was a good achievement and nothing would have given me greater pleasure than seeing Stuart take us up. But he didn’t. He then started well but when things went wrong he couldn’t turn it the same as before and I think that his greatest strength is his biggest weakness. He is to close to the players great for creating team spirit and togetherness when things are going well but when the whip has to be cracked it doesn’t work.

 

Where did I say that I said Robinson was a development squad player with different coaches I doubt he would have an input on Robinson and the others Abbott brought them in

if that's the case then why did he only mention 3 players (Law, Taylor, McGowan) as being his own signings in his interview with WOAP?

 

I don’t know whether the rumours are true or not but peddling them serves no purpose. The problem will always be the same; some have heard the same snippet and agree and others just want to ignore that there may be some truth in them.

For what it’s worth, I was in the latter group until it blew up in my face around 12mths or so. I denied the rumours circulating on here on the eve of our P.O. game against Fleetwood. Turns out it was all true all long and Rahic (even then) wanted McCall out because they did not see eye to eye.

So for me, I take every rumour of this type as a pinch of salt, or should that be a dessert spoon of salt...!

He didn't. His words were 'Taylor and McGowan were the two I really wanted'. He then talked about Taylor being the best player for Peterboro against us, last season.
