It would also very likely mean that the top British players would leave even more so than they are now. It would destroy the Premier League which would result in English football going into financial meltdown from top to bottom, owners would pull out and clubs would go bust very quickly. Even if that didn't happen ultimately a wage cap won't happen as the EFL have already tried that and it was an easy win for the PFA and their lawyers as it was unlawful and unenforceable without the consent of the players, no player is going to vote to restrict their earnings just like nobody on here would.
