So sad that someone would do this. I can't imagine the motivation.

I hope there is adequate CCTV in the area. I'd understand if there wasn't, who expects this, but I hope there is some good footage of the scum who did this.

Very disturbing news. Hopefully they identify the absolute sickening individuals. Gutted!!

 

In this Day and Age, I can't believe there isn't CCTV or other security footage, even a ring doorbell from a property nearby which would shed some light on who was in the area prior to this happening.

Get it plastered on Calendar, Look North, X and the T&A and invite any persons in such footage to explain themselves that night. There can't be to many people wondering round that area in the dead of night.

 

Part of our fragmented society unfortunately. Some have no respect for nothing or nobody. When I was younger you weren't even allowed to walk on certain parts of the grass in a park. Now it's football on the bowling greens or bikes being ridden through the flowers. Cemeteries now have stolen items from loved ones graves. As stated in my first sentence, unfortunately some parts of society have no respect for nothing. Sad.

If and it's highly unlikely the offender is caught they will get nothing but a slap on the wrist and told "not to do it again"
Should the police have been called no doubt a crime reference number was issued and case already closed
No deterrent whatsoever !!!!

Just had a look on Google Maps, there is a CCTV camera just next to the memorial, lets hope it was working. If it doesn't actually cover the memorial it must at least cover the only entrance and exit points to the site. It's in a good fixed position looking at the stairs and towards the gates from the corner of the building, there is also a second fixed camera at the top of the stairs.





There really should be good footage of whoever was there.
