Give over. Community club of the year not so long back! Absolute pillars of the community their fanbase.

 

Just watched the incident shocking that deserves more than a 3 game suspension :

Jean-Philippe Mateta was stretchered off after a collision with keeper Liam Roberts, really on the street that would be classed as GBH.

 

The ref needed VAR to reach his decision.

 

That's the bit that concerns me. Too many referees using VAR as a safety net and not refereeing the game correctly. He was only 10 yards from the challenge too.

 

I thought @bailiff bridge bantam was joking, saying the referee called for VAR, is this what footballs coming to, did it matter if the Millwall keeper got a touch on the ball before the high kick, the reckless challenge alone with his boot so high is a sending off offence, never mind the injury Mateta may have sustained.

 

I've never heard the chant before myself but apparently it's quite common when an opposition player goes down. I think its a horrendous thing to chant at any time

 

That’s the laughable bit.

 

And these are the guys responcable for making the right calls with regards the rules of the game in a billion pound industry, why was there any need for VAR in this incident.

 

On my fa cup bandwagon 10 years ago.

 

Been there once as a guest, my cholera, yellow fever etc jabs have expired, I won't be going back in a hurry
