Simon Parker, T& A , Newsquest - Do your job! Or do one!

I tweeted him earlier today saying exactly the the same. Told him the club need the T&A more than the T&A need the club so start telling us the full facts

The T&A aren't there to crusade, they're there to report the facts that they find (and they can prove).

The club are a bit of a closed book, constantly denying the all-too-obvious problems, so beyond asking the club or the players about situations they can't or probably won't talk about, I'm not sure what you're expecting of Parker.

He is NOT there to give the opinions of fans, however, and it's not really in the T&A's interests to campaign against the owners who aren't doing anything illegal or particularly malicious.

If they crusaded against every incompetent person in West Yorkshire, it really wouldn't be an acceptable media outlet.

Sorry, Fordy, cannot agree with your frustrations here.

You are missing a trick there pal.

 

There are only two facts there: fans aren't happy, and the statistic about shots. I'm pretty sure he does and has covered those.

The rest, really, is opinion - I share it, don't get me wrong, but they're not facts.

Maybe Parker is actually representing what the majority of city fans think.....

Forums and twitter don’t represent the full 15,000 season ticket holders - maybe 1,000 at most? - and so when there’s some dissatisfaction on there it doesn’t mean the people without twitter are also unhappy.

 

What the hell are you doing? There is some kind of political thread if you want to indulge your ideology.

What? The post wasn’t political, it was just making a point that not everything on forums or twitter represents what everyone is thinking. It’s quite simple to take in.

Maybe it was a poor example to use, but I couldn’t think of anything other Twitter related that divided people so much than politics.

Probably split 50-50. Maybe 60-40.

Without a decent poll it’s basically impossible to say. As is saying that Parker isn’t representing fans views. There are many, many different fans views and Parker is playing piggy in the middle.

 

Easy target is our Simon. He is not a freelance reporter he relies on the good will of the club for access to the players management and to breaking news stories. There are other freelance reporters who are free to criticise
