1, They had little choice once Phil Parkinson walked away they had no plan "B" and as they have very little knowledge of league one took Julian's & James Masons advice.
2, How any right minded person could contemplate the sacking of anyone (never mine a club legend) who brought our club the success Stuart did in his first season back is beyond belief.
3, As a business man I would think making off the cuff comments to you're workforce is one thing as they are your employees and paid by you, but when you make comments that may effect 19,000 fans is quite another dumb !!.
4, Without doubt another dumb move.
5, Implementing new working practices when you have openly commented you wouldn't be changing things once you took over even dumber.
6, Hearsay but I don't think without substance time will tell.

I think most fans would go along with Edin's baby that is the development of young talent that has slipped through the Premiership net, as long as it's not to the detriment to the building of a strong first team squad, I think this will be very much part of any contract terms offered to Simon Grayson.
Not sure what your implying with regards "for the first time just about ever spending on infrastructure without having to be forced to do so" I suggest the pitch being unfit for several games and finishing up being postponed is very much a necessity rather than choice, regards the suites they needed doing to bring Wedding parties and the like down to Valley Parade to generate more non football money.

Different styles. I enjoyed Parky's reign much more then Stuart's. Perhaps I just enjoy the work rate, tackling and desire aspects more than tipy tappy football. I enjoy a clean sheet and the work that goes into it.

Tell you what make two list on what Stuart has won and the excitement he has brought us and do the same for Parky compare them and put them on here.
Look I think McCall did very well last year from the start he had. I do think he messed up at Wembley. Then last season till Christmas he did well again. But his big test came then just as it did the first time he was here when things started to go wrong he didn’t have an answer his own admission. He even admitted that he thought the owners had every justification in sacking him.

 

if we're comparing facts between the two managers.

Stuart doesn't have a relegation on his managerial CV. Parky does.
Stuart didn't preside over a run as bad as 1 win in 21, Parky did.
Stuart got us closer to promotion from League 1 than Parky did.
Stuart achieved a whole league season unbeaten at home. Parky did not.
Stuart achieved the above with a club with brand new owners, brand new to English football that didnt have a clue about our game, a club with no backroom staff, and a club with 8 contracted pro's. a damn sight less than Parky did when he came in.
after last season Stuart's team was dismantled from under him, and was given less money to try and rebuild - he then got his rebuilt, weaker squad into the top 6 and kept them there. His replacement has presided over a slide down the table.

 

Your a trier I will give you that. But did Stuart do all this
Promotion including a victory at Wembley with a POSITIVE performance
Did he over five years finish higher than the year before
Did he accomplish an almost uniquely feat by getting a third tier team to a major cup final.
Did he pull off one of the biggest cup shocks in history
Did he transform the clubs finances by his own exploits.

Just as an aside do you think Parky would allowed the debacle at Yeovil no matter what was going on in the background.
So I will add another mistake from the owners they should have said they would fully back him for a year and I firmly believe we would have been in the championship by now

 

He did you're correct mate, he also said for the previous 17/18 months he deserved a medal, but we'll forget about that quote to make our point look better .
By the way I do agree Stuart picked the wrong starting 11 at Wembley, and even more annoying when he made changes they were IMO not attacking enough, no problem with the Jones for Clarke but I would have preferred Hiwula for Law and gone for it in the last 15/20 minutes, but after the great season Stuart had given us it would be picky to say the least.

Phil Parkinson had all available monies given to him to use as he wished. Stuart McCall had budget reduced because of a hair brained youth and development scheme, and wasn't given the freedom Parky had in the transfer market. infact, Stuart wasn't able to bring in most of his targets, Parky was, and generally got them.

 

He would have deserved a medal if he had seen it through. However if you read it through I gave him credit for the season

 

I wish you would stop pleasessss. Both our previous managers had outstanding results for our club. What is wrong now is a much bigger problem.

 

Wow he was a Scottish manager tough league that. I think the season we missed out in the play offs he would have been over the moon to have been able to sign a Charlie Wyke in January.

he might have been. he'd have lumped balls at him all season and not got much out of him, might have been happy to have him though. but he'd probably have preferred Jamie Proctor or Caleb Folan or Jordan Bowery or some other shitter though.
