Sounds like this will be the game that City Vent were planning on doing another tifo for the walk out.

 

Its a good offer, personally i would have gone 5 home games for £50 and fill the stadium for the remaining games.
I presume the club are thinking the Fleetwood game could be high demand anyhow.

 

That would be a great initiative to get more folk in for the run in.

 

Oh no, they've said it wont be, but the club want as much claret and amber as possible int he crowd. Vent on twitter have been saying for a little bit now that they were talking to the club about making a display once more before the end of the season, assumed it would be this one with a packed house.

 

Also with thoughts to next season. Get them in whilst we are playing well and hopefully gaining promotion, that feel good factor, might translate to extra season ticket sales

So they are City fans when its a fiver unlike us poor sods who have had money down.

We sit 2nd in the league and i bet no team in the country should have to give a bunch of tight bastards a cheap day out

 

Alternatively perhaps our manager would like the stadium full to help lift the team? Plus the club might encourage new permanent supporters if they enjoy the game.
Personally I am not offended by this approach, my season ticket is a very reasonable price and I have really enjoyed matches.
It must be very stressful to be so angry all the time about something that is meant to give you pleasure.

What like Birmingham charging a £10 for our semi final?

 

I thank my lucky stars I'm fortunate to be able to afford to do the things I want to do, but unfortunately, that isn't the case for everyone. If this enables a few families with city mad kids to attend a game they wouldn't otherwise have been able to do then that's a brilliant thing. Anyone that begrudges people being able to do that needs to give their head a wobble.

There's issues around limits on amount of offers you can do plus as you say Fleetwood will be high demand especially if things go well as will Notts County. The other season when we just had play offs on the line we sold out for the Orient game so no reason why we can't do it again for Fleetwood, this time we should also have the TL Dallas Stand for home fans as fleetwood won't want more than 1,100 tickets. Out of next 3 games this is the one that will lost us the least in away ticket sales as Colchester won't have been bringing many as Tranmere and Crewe will do.

What we also don't want now is some looking at 5 for £50 and thinking if they only go to 3 games it's worth it and potentially have empty seats for Notts County and Fleetwood. I don't know if the system is set up ready for the season ticket exchange but if it is then I wouldn't be surprised if we activated it for them 2 games if things keep going well.
