Their forum has melted nowadays, even the fans are giving up. Their January recruitment is the root cause . The lad they got from Man U to cover Matt is sulking apparently, tactics are a shadow of what they were . In my mind , if we can look after our own game , they are easily there for the taking. The have zero strength in depth even after the Jan window.

Shows how easily things can go south if you dont have the right plan. Walsall lost Lowe and there whole dynamic fell apart. We lose Cook and everyone has stepped up a gear.

It’s bizarre to be honest…….Once we lost Cook we all thought the worst.

Patto will be out six weeks minimum …quite a chunk.
    Sarcevic two to three.

Don’t know what to think because not every team will be as poor as Cheltenham. I honestly struggled to see what their shape was last night. They were all over the place !

Thank you but just heard. Nothing to be done about it. I would have thought 3:4 weeks max.

If it was keyhole surgery then probably 3-4 weeks out+time to recondition to match fitness.

I would assume that it was before last weekend so already just short of a week will have passed.

I hope it’s that short. ( Wife had keyhole in the stomach and she had a desk based job and they wouldn’t let her back for four weeks) Fortunately he’s a fit bloke so hopefully but I’m thinking contact sport and all that?

    Just from a quick Google....

Phil Foden was back in training within 3 weeks of his appendix surgery in 2023, played bang on 4 weeks after his previous app. Luka Modric was back in the matchday squad 2 weeks after his appendix surgery when he played for Spurs. Eric Dier missed 3 weeks, Matty Godden was back inside 3 weeks.

All being well, Pattison could be back for the Colchester game, maybe the Accrington game the week after might be a better aim. Sarce and Pointon you'd have thought would be back by Colchester too if they are resting theirs up.

I would imagine it’s quite an invasive operation with a lot of stitches and time to heal

Not quite the same but one of my runners had emergency “keyhole” appendix surgery and was running 3 weeks later. Not the same, I know but the recovery is a lot quicker than it used to be. We will see.

Appendix surgeries these days are mostly done through keyhole, in and out of hospital the same day. I believe it's only really needed to open someone up if it bursts. I had mine done at the BRI when my appendix burst, they had to cut me open to get to it as I think a burst can cause really bad problems with infections or something like that from memory. But it sounds like Pattisons was done and dusted early so he should be OK in no time.
