What a day. A long way to go with lots of twists and turns. Wouldn't it be a fitting way though to win the league to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the fire. Hopefully it's written in the stars and our first home game next season is Lincoln.

I still think it's a little early to focus too much on what goes on elsewhere because there'll be twists and turns yet.

Looks to have been a very good day for us though, with a late winner and several sides dropping points.

Balls to top 3, let's win the title and go up as Champions!!

Today's games produced a good set of results for us.

There's still a quarter of the season left to go though and there'll be more twists and turns to come. April remains a tough month for us.

Home form has to remain impeccable to give us a bit of leeway when all the tough April away fixtures come round.
    Port Vale
    Swindon
    Chesterfield
    Doncaster
    All away in April

Doncaster and Chesterfield away have the potential to be epic.

I think the 2 away wins give us a bit of breathing space and takes a bit of pressure off the home games. We've got 6 home games left, even if we W4,D1,L1 that puts us on 76 points leaving us needing around 6 points from the 6 remaining away games. The 1 home game we probably can't afford to lose is the Notts County game, even a draw in that game could be worth almost the same as a win on Tuesday night if Notts are still in touching distance of us by then.

For those who like the Opta super computer's predicted table we are now predicted to finish 2nd. In the space of the last month we've nearly gone from 34.5% chance of promotion to nearly 68%. A month ago it was 78 points to go up, now it is around 80 which I think is a more realistic total.

Many on Walsalls forum are giving up hope of being champs and now worrying about doing anything in the play offs if they drop below the top three as they see their form as being on a downward spiral .What a massive change to the hours before we played them at VP.

I just hope we can keep Sarcevic and Pattison fit.

    It’s a funny old game.

I'd much rather be where we are than where Grimsby or Salford are.

Over the last couple of years we've often been in 7th to 10th hoping for a run of wins or to win our game or two in hand and we've never managed to do it.

It's been a fantastic run of games and wins. This squad should be very pleased with how things have gone this year but there's still a quarter of the season to go so heads down and let's keep working hard.

As someone rightly posted earlier, we need points in the bank now due to the difficult period ahead . I’d rather have the points in the bag rather than the game in hand. As we have seen ourselves those at the bottom are fighting for their lives , so there are no easy games ahead for any of the top 10 B.B.

Well it is now officially ‘in our hands’. Even if the teams below us win their outstanding games, then they will still be below us and we remain 2nd.

All we need to do is match the results of those below us and we get automatic promotion!

For sure with a quarter of the season left there are likely to be some changes, but hell I am really pleased with the great form.

Today’s 4th minute winner shows a steely mentality,
