Him selling isn’t the problem, it’s finding someone willing to pay his asking price that doesn’t tie the club to debt ….like the Glaziers for example .

But the club is worth more in league 1, so maybe he'll be able to eek a bit more out of it than he could over the last few years, who knows

We are seeing the green shoots of recovery on the pitch. But we haven't really achieved anything just yet so I can understand some fans wanting to stay away or wait for new owners etc etc.

All I want is for MY club to be successful ON the pitch. In all the years I have followed City I have rarely been bothered about who own the club-the admin times apart of course.

Our decline over the last 7 years DID make me that much more bothered and my love for the club and concern for how it was being run manifested itself in the only way I could display that, by signing the ISG petition and supporting the demonstration. I was angry at this great club falling apart before my eyes signing really shite players year in year out with seemingly no real plan to halt the decline.

The last few months things appear to be changing and a few jigsaw pieces are now slotted in place that seem to suggest we are now a force to be reckoned with.

We had Bantam Progressivism in the mid 80's and I hope that it is back. I really do.

Let's face it not one fan, even our resident happy clapper, saw this run of form coming after Notts County away.

I screamed the house down when Bobby scored last night. I suspect I was not alone in that.

As you say there was no social media back in those days, it gives fans the ability to both praise the club or criticise it both OTT at times IMO, I've not criticised fellow fans for the reason they are staying away but personally no owner, CEO, manager or any other individual past or present would stop my enjoyment of watching my club.
After 65 years plus it would take something I have no control over for me to stop attending Bradford City games, without doubt the last 8/9 years have been difficult for Bradford City fans, Rupp certainly hasn't helped himself at times hopefully he is as good as his word and is now fully committed to the cause, promotion this season is ONLY the first step back to putting all the wrongs right during his time as the custodian of OUR club, lets hope Rupp also sees it that way.

No screaming from me, just a gentle nod to the lad ,still a long way to go.
Lets get Salford beat , retain our position in second , ready for going for 10 in a row at home to Cheltenham.
It would put Salford 15 points behind us and knock them out of the equation as far as we are concerned

If only David Wetherall had put his header over the bar we’d still own VP right now

The clue is his Avatar name … Not many of here were around to see the great David Layne…. I was fortunate , but memory really fades sometimes.

Ok, on the pitch we are doing ok. Not great ok! That doesn’t mean that all is forgotten Rupp and Sparks and even if we did go up would you trust them to keep us up?

Rupp and Sparks still need to go!

It is a little bit better than OK currently mate 10 wins 2 draws and only one defeat 32 points from 39 since Notts no show is bloody marvelous.

    I bet Dave may?

If there was social media in 62 , it would have melted when he was sold for £20k!!! I seem to remember my dad saying he was my idol aged 8 , now it’s lost in the mists of time.

Haha that's why I like Tuesday night matches. Drive over from work in Leeds, fish and chips from Peel Park Fisheries, eaten in the car while listening to the build up, then walk up to the ground. Fortunately the guy selling bags of sweets from a decorators table on Midland Road has gone, otherwise I'd be 41st :grinning:

Quick question. Who is responsible for us now doing OK on the pitch? And who put them there?

It's a strange one Kev, back in the day as a fan you just accepted selling players on as a way of keeping the club afloat, although Bradford had its share of very wealthy businessmen over the years none fancied investing in Bradford City.
With regards David Layne I believe most recognised he was going to what was back then a massive club in Sheffield Wednesday where he could show just how good he was possibly being selected for England, 58 goals in his 2 seasons at Wednesday unfortunately his head was turned with the lure of money, bearing in mind back in those days the likes of Tom Finney played football during the season and then went back to plumbing during the closed season one club player 433 games for Preston, modern footballers eh don't know their born.
