No sorry I don’t understand it. Proper fans are fans for life, they don’t cherry pick when and where they choose to give their support.

That may be true and I feel the same, however one respects the choice being made at the end of the day, especially where personal circumstances change.

 

Oh it 100% does. Watching them on TV this season, the stands look maybe a third emptier than on a Saturday. Tbf I never really enjoyed midweekers before this Sky deal and maybe went to 1 or 2 a season tops, if me and the wife were free. But the wife has a job with a US firm and got promoted maybe 2 or so years back but now ends up on calls most midweek nights until 6-6:30ish, so even getting to a game is tight if we could be bothered. Could go on my own I suppose but its not the same when we can make tea, not have to rush as still catch it on Sky.

All clubs will be experiencing it, but they knew what they signed up for when they sign for new money TV deals.

Right….my definition of scaling back is to not take 2 days off work to attend Bromley on a Tuesday night, NOT to cancel my ST and refrain from attending home games.

im not criticising different views, im criticising ‘fans’ who are refusing to attend until we are challenging for promotion to the Championship and reaching national cup finals.
I bet some of the ‘fans’ I’m criticising were at Fleetwood in 2017 kissing the badge like Rupp.

 

Best make it a sticker. Reckon some of our fans would struggle with a pin badge and, god forbid, cause themselves an injury.

I’m responding to the people like @Faithful Bantam who openly state they will not return to VP until we are competing at the top end of league 1.
Nowhere on this thread have I commmented on people not attending due to personal circumstances.

 

Now, that's not what I said is it. But I have no intention of arguing the point. I couldn't really care less what your view is. So it's pointless.

 

He didn't say that at all. You've just made that up like you make a lot of assumptions up. He clearly stated his reason for not attending, that being the running of the club by the present ownership. I much more respect someone who sticks by his principles than someone who can't read the context of someone's post.
