The return of Patto and Sarcs has allowed Smallwood to concentrate on what he does best. They are a footballing trio and along with Bobby, they will not simply hoof the ball hoping that Cook will get on the end of it. Had Cook stayed fit, I am confident we would be playing like we are now and he would still be the divisions top scorer.

 

Pointon, Cook and Walker could have been the front three, with Kav an option from January. Gilly could have done the Pattinson role, but admittedly not as well. So Wlaker could have been dropped into the No.8 from January with Kav coming in.


I don't think we'd have had those terrible January and March dips, with that system

 

Once you introduce Gilly it all falls apart .

 

I was in Shrewsbury last week, with a fan raving about him. MInd you they do look destined for L2 next season!!
