I'm looking at going in the home end as I've been posted to Suffolk tomorrow and Wednesday for work so can get to Bromley easily.

 

Good luck getting from Suffolk to Bromley easily. Obvious route is the Dartford crossing which is usually a nightmare in the rush hour.

 

1 HR 30 at 5:30pm.
I've crossed the QE bridge many times around 6pm and for me it's not been an issue in the past .

Going down with wifey for an overnighter, tickets are digital, which I hate.
Tried to print mine out like the email says you can but it wouldn't print the actual QR code.
Always liked to keep my paper tickets.

 

The route you are showing isn't the Dartford crossing, but ok if that works. I often took my Mum who lived in Chelmsford to visit her sister in law who lived in Bromley and the QE2 was often a nightmare.

 

Looks like the Blackwall or Rotherhide, if it's the later, make sure when you're on the South side check your doors are locked and don't open a window.

No, that's the Blackwall Tunnel which now has a toll. The Dartford crossing is the one to the right which is the longer time.
Hope you make it in time, but in my experience all 3 routes are at risk of hold ups. I have used all three many times visiting family south of the river.
