The Voice - Match preview #33: Bromley vs Bradford City Tuesday 25th February 2025 7:45pm

Once again I expect changes from the previous game even if all 3(patto Crichlow and Tayo)who were subbed due to injury are fit to play. I also can't see Johnson playing tow full 90 minutes either and with shephard back he will always come straight back in.

Bromley are very direct and don't really play much passing football. They also seem to go man for man marking which will be interesting on who they put on our most flair players.

I predict a line up similar to this tomorrow night.

Why do people keep spelling Byrne as Bryne?

 

My phone auto corrects certain words sometimes but surely it's not hard to understand which player people are on about

 

Of course it’s not. But it’s irritating when it keeps happening, as it has a lot lately, from several different posters.
My phone autocorrects Bryne to Byrne, not the other way round and I suspect most other phones do likewise. I just think people should take the trouble to spell players’ names correctly.

 

Tbf I can think of more things that would irritate me than the spelling of someone's name.

 

Predictive unfortunately. Mine does it with Pattison/ Pattinson/ Patteson and so on.

 

And calling Huntington Huntingdon?

 

I do not care what they are called or how it is spelt , as long as they keep on scoring, keeping clean sheets and bringing home those 3 points, starting tomorrow.
Lets get into second place and put pressure on the pack.
Let them worry about us for once.

 

Key here is not to get dragged into their game. Seems like if we play through the thirds we will have some joy. If we end up punting it long all game then it’ll be a struggle.

 

A win tommorow would be massive goìng into Saturday come on lads lets do this

 

“ Punting it long” isn’t a problem if it’s channelled properly . Baldwin played two or three long diagonal balls on Sat that were pretty damn good , one which nearly led to a goal .

 

Like 'Bryne' starting.

 

And calling me Negative instead of Northern.

 

I would define punting it long as being less targeted and more just getting it launched up the pitch. Those diagonals that you’re referring to didn’t really fall into what I meant.

Sometimes there's not a lot of choice for a player...

For them, he had a decent record before going North so maybe they thought it was worth a punt?

 

Effectively he plays wide on Bromleys right providing crosses and gaining free kicks .

McKirdy? I think he's only played once, hasn't he?

I'd say they potentially have some good attacking midfielders on their books. I suspect they might be a little more than just long balls and long throws, even if that's their bread and butter. Ben Thompson's pretty good, McKirdy might be good (have my doubts though), Congreve too.

Nothing to overly worry about, but I do they think there's a bit of ability behind Cheek.
