Good win today and another clean sheet, I felt a lot of today's game was similar to the same fixture last season where they had more of the ball and got into some good positions but couldn't create a clear chance whereas we had a lot less of the ball but looked threatening when we got into the final 3rd.

We've got to back this up with a win on Tuesday, open the gap to 8th even more and move us up to 2nd. Sounds like there was nothing too serious with the knocks and bumps so hopefully most, if not all, are available for Tuesday

Good run of home fixtures now? 3 of our next 4 games are away.

    And??
I'm talking about next lot of home fixtures.

    Cheltenham
    Colchester
    Tranmere

Should see us take 9 points.

Yes we have away games, but the home form has carried us all season and with those fixtures, you'd expect us to keep racking up the points whilst picking up bits away.

They did but that guy Baldwin was great once again cutting them out helped with a great performance from Johnson who we were told couldn’t play in that position both proven doubters wrong again

Cheltenham look similar to use, great at home but not so good away. At home they are 5th best in the league with 30 points from 16 but away from home they are 14 points from 15, today was their first away win since October. Looking at Colchester's away form they've only lost 3 away from home but also only won 3 and drawing 10, they are currently on a run of 1 loss in 12 away games so they've made themselves tough to beat away

Yep, to a point. Colchester and Cheltenham are 6th and 8th in the form table over the last 8 games (albeit we’re top of that same table).

They’ve both also a fair way up the recent (last 4) away form table too BUT the only side either of them have played in the top half in that time was Notts County, where Colchester got a creditable 1-1 draw.

With our formidable home record of 9 straight wins, only conceding 3 in that time - indeed none conceded in the last 5 in that run - they should probably worry more about us than the other way around.

Thought Mellon had a good game added more to the forward line

I am so impressed with him. He never gives up and he has so many facets to his game he is a joy to watch.

He was everywhere on the pitch today. Scoring goals, blocking their attacks, driving everything forward. A fantastic performance.

I’ll admit to being completely wrong about him earlier in the season.
Clearly not fit then but at the moment the most important player in the team.

It’s been said many times in the last few weeks but Smallwood can’t do what he’s being doing so well recently without Sarcevic,Pattison and Pointon doing their jobs so effectively.

I was the same, I'd wondered what exactly we'd signed. But now the jigsaw pieces seems to fit, but Sarce is the key. He links play like no other player we've had for years.

I actually think some league two teams including us are far superior to a lot in league one this season. Got a few mates who support various clubs in that league and they all say the standard is absolutely awful.

His movement off the ball is sublime. Making space and creating chances.

IF we do get promoted the question now has to be ........... is he good enough for league 1?

The bottom half of league one yeah, there's not much difference between the the top six in league two and the bottom of league one.

Absolutely. The cross for Pointon's goal v Birmingham was real quality.
