I agree with you (and Monkey!!) on this but I can't see GA putting out a team of kids against Birmingham, he doesn't look at things that way. Against Birmingham his options are different to Saturday but he will still want to give it his best shot and also keep the momentum going.

    Best team available tomorrow

I don’t think Crichlow and Kavanagh or Walker will start tomorrow as they’ll be needed on Tues due to others being cup tied.

Everybody has said Mellon needs games so might be his chance.
He’s going to be needed between now and May so let’s get him playing.

I know. However getting out of the toilet league is more important to BCAFC , if they had a choice. Professionally of course he’s playing to win?

I can't see Crichlow being rested after he was rested on Tuesday, if he was to pick up an injury then we can always bring Huntington in with Shepherd LCB

Is there a chance Huntington plays as one of our strongest in the air, to manage Kyle Hudlin?

I don't think Hudlin is actually that good in the air, tbh.

Yeah he scored a header at VP but how many headers has he actually scored this season? 4? Less?

Probably more of a Peter Crouch.

Probably best to say he’s a danger in the air as his goal ( And bad marking) at VP showed. Peter Crouch is a decent anology JB.

Looking at the stats he's 27th in the league for aerial duels won on 4.6 per match, to compare that with some other strikers in the league Cook (7), Cheek (7.5), Stockley (7.8), Dackers (9.2) and Harry Smith (9.3) are quite a way ahead of him. I can't find a website which puts it into % terms to truely see who good/bad they are but for someone with his height he should be scoring more goals. I've no idea why Huddersfield extended his contract until 2026 as he's not really improved a lot

    Good stats!

I think like @Kevin1954@Kevin1954 says, the fact he actually scored a header and made it look easy enough at VP has given a slightly false impression.

Still needs dominating though. Shepherd or Huntington should be good enough for that. Touch wood!

Got a bad feeling we’ll lose tomorrow. Can’t see us keeping a clean sheet in this one and our attacking play in the last few games has been pretty uninspiring.

I hadn’t realized how bad our away form was until I read somewhere (maybe here) that we’ve only won 1 of our last 8 league games away from home and I think only 3 or 4 all season.

In the home match he won 58% (7 out of 12) of his aerials so not too bad but in that match Byrne was the central defender with Diabate and Shepherd either side.

Looking at their last few matches he's not started in the last 3 as Courtney Baker-Richardson has started ahead of him who still over 6ft but a bit more mobile so not certain Hudlin will start although Hudlin scored the winner on Tuesday night against Carlisle which could get him back in the team.

Yep, only 3 league away wins all season, we've actually won more in the trophy with 4. Overall record away in the league is W3 D5 L6, the only wins being MK, Tranmere and Carlisle.

To get top 3 I feel we need at least 12 points from the remaining 9 away games to give us a chance which would leave us needing around 15 points from the 7 home games left.
