We'll take the win, 100%. Keeps the form going, but that was poor. We're lucky to come out of that with 3 points.

With the benefit of form being good, Alexander needs to give a bit of industrial feedback to the team. Set a high bar in terms of standards, because we can't afford many more performances like that if we want to stay in the top 3 mix.

 

A win is a win, but that was ugly.

Solid performance without it ever really clicking. Win ugly is still a win.

 

Was a bit shaky in the first few moments but quickly found his feet.

Needed the impetus that Walker, Sarcevic and Khela brought on.

Surely Alexander can see the benefit that comes with bringing on players who have something to prove?

Two games in a row we've been lulled into a complete stupor and dragged down to a poor level. We can do much better.

 

Nothing from that game that indicated Kavanagh and Leigh will get us the goals to stay in the top 3. Looks like the midfield players need to be the ones to do so. Hope I'm wrong but neither showing enough skill,strength or nous to do so.

 

Copy and paste of Morecambe and Harrogate. Although it wasnt spectacular or a spectacle, we have to credit game management again, as well as an absolute belter of a goal from Pattison.

Important to consider the above teams and Accrington tonight, are placed towards the bottom of the league and in the past have been the sort of games we’ve struggled to find a goal, a bit of magic to get ahead, or hold a lead of draw when needed. The key players seem to be stepping up at the moment whilst we also seem to be managing games much more professionally.

 

Richards is a miss. How long is he out for?

And the lack of game time for Mellon is baffling.

 

Hard to figure out what sort of a player he is, and then why he isn’t getting game time when he’s getting no game time! In fairness I understand why Leigh was kept on and think he did well in a tireless role.

 

Job done, one bit of quality in the game the difference. The type of game you just need to get through and will be forgotten about come the seasons end. Performances do need to improve though, back to the Grimsby and Walsall type games please.
