Got to keep up the excellent home record and just hope that our away record improves.

 

I can't imagine that sky will have paid for it although part of the reason we've probably hired it is because the game is on sky. We've also got 2 games in a few days so the nightmare would be frost getting into the pitch and trying to get it ready for tuesday and last thing we need is more postponements as we've only got 5 free midweeks left (4 if we Bromley gets postponed for the EFL Trophy.
I've also noticed the pitch has been cutting up a bit recently near the main stand side so suspect another reason for this is that it will allow more air onto the pitch rather than heavy covers being on it and we can have the heat lamps going directly onto the grass.
I think the club will also want to keep the home form momentum going so having 2 very winnable home games in a few days could keep that going

 

Wow, that wasn’t cheap……….More playing side “ investment” . Only a heated pitch could better it? Hired?

 

No refetence to hire availability but they do sell second hand. Irrespective , a great investment.

Looks like people will have to actually go to the ground to watch it. There’s a novelty.

 

The Sky app is shite.

Doesn’t show games being on Sky when they are actually on.
It’s done it before.
The actual Sky+ channel shows the game as being on.

 

Yet their own website ( NOT APP) shows it’s not covered! Arse and elbow springs to mind?

 

Yep, it's showing on mine, thought as much, I didn't look before I posted earlier.....anyway, was only out of interest as I will be there as usual .....

That would be a cracking investment going forward but the cost to buy would be huge?

 

It would, but the hire cost doesn't sound that bad - around 2k for two days apparently. Even if we're not on Sky and have to pay for it ourselves, surely that's cheaper than running the risk of having the game called off on the day and all the associated costs that would incur?
