I predict 2 in 2 out tomorrow with late deals.

 

He hasn't started a game since boxing day. If Kelly's injury is only slight I'd imagine they'll both be fit around the same time so Crichlow would probably end up on the bench again. However if Kelly's injury is worse then it might be worth a shout. The fear is he'd be the next Wright and be a shadow of the player we had first time round. Has he really fallen that far off that he can't get anywhere near the Peterborough squad?

 

From what i have seen in NL he has sadly not kicked on

 

I don't understand this obsession some have with wanting to bring back former players. As you say, Peterborough don't think he's league 1 standard so I wouldn't want us to take him on a permanent, and Dagenham and Redbridge didn't fight to try and keep him so they can't have been that impressed with him at National League level. He did ok when he was here but I don't think he was as good as some with rose tinted specs seem to be remembering.

 

Just seen a rumour saying we are looking at Jordan Rhodes at Blackpool. Us and Mansfield.

 

Kelly looked like a hamstring or groin strain….Not quick recoveries??

 

Recruiting Crichlow would be a sign of desperation….We can do better but it will involve a fee!

Oh OK. I just saw it this morning, the article was done today 2nd February so no idea.

 

I think its more of a case of he is available, we know the player and it would be a short term fix.

He did ok last time out. If he can rediscover that form then he could be an asset. Like I said, a short term solution.

He hasnt got a chance anymore at Posh, but they are L1 and this is L2. He struggled at Dagenham but could be for a variety of reasons - surround by shite, formation, manager, style etc.

Shepherd was in and out of the team at Cheltenham last term, no glowing reference from their fans - done ok for us? Richards another one at Harrogate. Played 25 games in 18 months for them.

 

I think if we need to recruit it has to be someone who’s match fit and ready to go.

 

Dont disagree, his last game was boxing day so he hasnt played in a month. Crichlow was part of Dagenham team that beat Crewe and Wimbledon in FA Cup and according to Ferguson, his loan spell expired, Dagenham wanted to extend but it looks like player wants a different club.

I read on he here he had struggled there but according to their fans on X they would love him back as would team mates and manager.

Would he be anywhere near match fitness, when did he last play a competitive league game ?.

Pretty much exactly as Huntington and I don't think anyone suggested any issues with his match fitness when he made the bench yesterday

 

TBF he has been playing 90 mins weekly for the Posh U21s to maintain match fitness. He wont be far off L2 football match fitness.

With our pressing game, I'm struggling to see it. Surely he'd need to play in a front two? How fit is he?

 

I assume that was Dagenham & Redbridge, he's only made 10 appearances in total this season, the reason I questioned his fitness was I didn't know he been out on loan.
