Wasn’t massively impressed with Leigh on Tuesday.

Lets hope another 90 minutes in his legs gets him up to speed.

 

Pointon was taken off Tuesday night.. it's probably just a knock.

He works his bollocks off... Do him the world of good having a rest.

 

Looked better as the game wore on mind.

 

He doesn't need to stay at home to rest. Not playing a demanding physical game for 90 minutes is rest enough. He'll get far more from being with the squad, having that camaraderie and being there to cheer his teammates on than being on bed rest at home.

When Cook is seen supporting his teammates a few days before a major operation at Carlisle he’s lauded for his backing of the team.
BP goes with the team to do exactly the same and it’s a big deal and he should be sitting on his sofa resting his 21 year old legs.

Needs a 90 minute effort though now against a lot better side than Morecambe.

 

With Pointon I wouldn't be surprised if it was decided to give him a rest today and then he doesn't quite fit into the balance of the bench. Because of the starting 11 Doyle, Wright, Halliday and Huntington are must haves to cover the back 5 and keeper, Mellon is the striker on the bench, Khela covers the CMs so really it is down to Lapslie and Pointon, with Lapslie not eligible for Tuesday it makes sense to have him on the bench today then Pointon comes back in for Tuesday.

With having so many Tuesday night games coming up we're going to have to make some changes to manage minutes

 

He could have travelled to the game with the squad as the 19th player in case of a late pull out after they've travelled then if there is a late withdrawal he comes into the 18.

The word on the grapevine is that he's not injured, he's been rested and will start on Tuesday. It's been decided that resting him today will benefit him for the run in.

 

Four new players are cuptied on Tuesday so some players being rested for that.

 

Who’s that young keeper in the warm ups? I’d prefer him on bench than Doyle.
