I wonder how 'limitless' the dollars will be if they get promoted. Its proper money in the champ eh?

 

I can see both sides here. Last season may have swayed peoples opinion somewhat with three very well backed sides getting the automatic spots and they were decent teams but generally the standard of league 2 is befitting the bottom division.

I envy the financial might Wrexham have but at what point does this come crashing down? Already seen Wrexham fans calling for a change in management despite being 3rd in league 1.

 

But how can they recoup it in the championship Kev? Their ground only holds about 12,000 and even with the proposed new stand its only going to be 15,000. They ain't getting in the premier league and no club makes a profit in the championship.

They have the TV program which is the commercial cash cow , add to that two millionaires feeding their egos . I would imagine ticket income produces little in comparison . They don’t have the
“ catchment” to fill a big ground so they don’t need it I suspect? Im sure they would have built a new ground from the get go? Their ultimate aim ….Skys millions for the exposure the prem brings.

If they are gonna take on the relegated sides in the premiership spending wise its gonna cost a fortune. Cos thats what they are gonna have to do to chase that golden egg of the premiership. And even then that golden egg is swallowed up to some extent with hikes in players salaries. I'm not advocating it can't be done but i can't see how they make a profit, as you allude to its amore a vanity project aimed at stroking the massive egos of the hollywood dreamers.
