The brightness is a problem but I'm not sure it's the only problem. It's the movement as well

I'm sure those above including Sparks and co, have also noticed the obvious problem.

This is the email I’ve just sent to the general address and to Sparky. It would be good to get as many others as possible sending similar missives:

“I am a season ticket holder in C Block, Lower Main Stand. I have been a season ticket holder since 1996 and a regular supporter since the mid 1980s.

I am writing to complain about the new digital advertising boards at the Bradford End of the ground.

I attended Tuesday's home game against Morecambe and was constantly dazzled by the glare from the advertising boards, making it difficult, and at times impossible, to view the action in the Bradford End goalmouth. Like many others, I did not see Kavanagh's goal go in because of the blinding dazzle behind the goal.

I was unable to attend last Saturday's game against Walsall, but I understand from those who sit near me that they experienced similar problems then, even in bright daylight. I have spoken to other supporters who sit in the Kop and the Midland Road Stand, who tell me that the problem is just as bad from their seats. So, it is abundantly obvious that this is a serious issue affecting home supporters in all parts of the ground.

I fully appreciate the club's need to maximise advertising income and to move with the times. However, this cannot be at the expense of customers being able to properly view the product that they have paid good money to see, particularly the goalmouth action that is the crux of the process.

I find it astonishing that the club has installed and commenced using this product without first checking that it did not compromise the viewing experience of its core customers - the loyal fans. This seems to me to be either gross incompetence or else it shows an appalling lack of concern for the quality of the product presented to the club's primary audience - its home supporters.

Clearly the club cannot afford to alienate its entire home support on an ongoing basis. It is therefore essential that changes are made to ensure that supporters can watch what they've paid to see. Either the brightness of the hoardings needs to be significantly reduced, if this is possible, or the digital hoarding needs to be removed or moved to another part of the perimeter where it will not impair supporters' view of the goalmouth area.

Please ensure that effective changes are made before the next home game.”

Bombarding with emails is inappropriate, nobody needs to be harassed at work. They've had enough people contact now to know there's an issue. They could be directed to this thread to show there's more than a couple of people affected throughout the ground.

As I alluded to further up the thread, I'm sure our echelons have also noticed the issue and had feedback. IMO, using during daylight and night games, may actually be beneficial moving forward as they fully appreciate and understand the problem

The movement issue won’t be changed as such are allowed pitch side by the EFL. We either supplement our commercial income with pitch side adverts or not? If it adds to the player budget then fine, they just need toning down I think that’s the concept everyone seems to agree on.

It made me laugh the 5 who have voted for it not having a place at Valley Parade. Yeah let's go back to having a paper ticket booklet for season tickets instead of these damn electric devices lol.

The same 5 who don’t want us to perhaps invest in a quality goalscorer to get us promoted?

We’ll have to agree to disagree on this. It should have been blindingly obvious (pun intended) after Saturday’s game that there was a problem. Even when watching on TV it was very distracting and it could only be even worse at a night game. Despite this, they did nothing to alleviate the situation before Tuesday’s match and, predictably, it was even worse.
So, in these circumstances, I don’t agree that bombarding them with emails is harassment. It’s important that the club understands that this is a widespread problem and not just the moans of a few disgruntled fans. The more emails they get the more likely they are to take it seriously and actually do something about it.
As I said in my email, it’s ridiculous that the club has activated this installation without first checking that it didn’t impair supporters’ view of the game. So forgive my cynicism for not being confident that they’ll react appropriately without a lot of consumer feedback.

More importantly, have any players maybe commented on it? I hope it is not a problem when attacking towards that goal

I would certainly think it’s a problem for GA and the coaching team. I sit right behind the dugout and there’s no way they can have a consistent clear view of what’s going on in the Bradford End goalmouth.

Maybe erect the halftime score board like they had on the old Kop to hang numbers giving the scores.

Yeah I get your point but the thought of harassing one guy with loads of emails seems a bit personal. Bombard the help account, not one guy who is unlikely to be the go to person for stadium matters.
