Was hardwork but exactly what I expected tonight
A good team grind out these sort of results when not at their best. 3 wins on the bounce without conceding so happy days.

Pointon and Smallwood were superb and thought Leigh got better has the game went on I definitely think there is a decent player in him once he gets used to how we play.

 

An utterly forgettable game. What little quality there was seemed to evaporate after the goal.

Also Morecambe may lose games but they never really get battered it's usually by the odd goal

 

Felt the same. Never really got out of 3rd gear in the second half which I was a little disappointed about. Was hoping we would come out and put the game to be within the first 20mins and make it more comfortable. However most important thing is the 3 points and game management on the most part was impressive.

Pointon deserved player of the match, really good decision making especially first half.
Bravo Walker, cracking save in the second half.
Thought Smallwood was solid again today, as well as Baldwin in the first half.

A little confused why we are still yet to see Mellon.

 

Not to fussed about the performance a real dodgy game against a team that seemto turn up against us ......... 3 points 3rd ????? In the league a good night

 

Not the best of performances but 3 points is 3 points.

Sarcevic looked tired and definitely wasn’t expecting Pattison to pass it to him at the end there.

Leigh improved in the second half.

Walker made a fantastic save and to keep another clean sheet is always a positive.

 

3 points. Should’ve scored right at the end too.
Made it more difficult then it needed to be but 3rd in the table now so can’t complain too much

Bravo, I talked about mentality monsters earlier and we ground it out and should have been 2-0 at the end. In years gone by on a cold Tuesday night against lowly opponents who’ve come to frustrate we’ve bottled it so often. Could even afford to bring two rusty players into the starting line up.

 

And clean sheets.
Keep these and even a scrappy goal gets you the points.

Lots of talk about our prowess going forward but that’s 3 clean sheets on the trot.
