Yer, i get that, it looked bad because he slid in and Halliday jumped expecting something worse but the tackle was in front of Halliday and didn't really impact him at all.

Looked worse at first than it actually was in reality

From watching on TV, it looked as though the medical team were telling Halliday to stay down and take his time……or at least they were talking to him and didn’t look worried

I see it as like Huntington, who one making his full debut looked match fit and ready.

I just think GA knows what he's doing. It's like against Carlisle, when lots complained about him making more subs - but we didn't need any more.

I'm happy for all the signings to be held back for the next 10 matches, if it means we get 30 points ;)

NM. It's not the players, it's the mindset of players at this level. They're not, say Nottingham Forest, standard players i.e. sophisticated skilled players - who use Woods as part of their system as opposed to just been the focal point.

They are players, who I would out money on would have been launching more long balls today, which is exactly what Walsall would have mopped up.

Our last four goals have been superb intricate play, involving three or more players in the build up. They simply would not be doing that if Cook is in the team.

Of course they could do this with Cook - but will be less likely to do so. It's just human nature.

And yes, they'll be times when we'll miss Cook.

To be fair we played quite a few long balls today, it was a tough game for Kav who spent more time chasing and pressing than actually being involved in build up play (as i previously mentioned it was a big effort on his part). The build up play all centred around the likes of Smallwood, Pointon, Pattison and Sarcevic, the latter three all creating the goals with neat play and movement. The result today would still have been the same whether we had Cook or Kav upfront.

Worked his socks off today, never stopped harrying even when it was a bit of a lost cause and his composure on the ball is slowly coming back.
Wonderful day to be a Bantam

Come on mate don’t over egg it.
We’ve beaten Walsall in a league 2 fixture, not a cup semi final

    I reckon you'd of preferred a loss! I don't know why your here; .

Quality performance today against a quality side who are on a magnificent run and we made then look average, that is because the people running the club have put a vetu good side together. You just cannot handle that with your childish agenda against everything

Got to enjoy the good days, from 10 to 70 minutes we were what we all want us to be today.

You just worry about your hilarious Rupp protest posts ;)

The freedom that the midfield runners have and the interplay between the forwards would not happen with Cook in the side. I fully expected this run of results. He's a great goal scorer but the detriment to opportunities for others to express themselves has been a huge problem for us. I know it sounds counter intuitive due to his output but we are seeing the fruits of it now. Not comfortable to hear, I know.

What we are seeing is more contributions from other players which we didn’t get when cook was playing.
Was a very easy way to defend against
Mark cook out of game and we don’t score

More entertaining with an end product

    Absolutely trolleyed.

Found the game in Jumeirah. Watching with a former Latvian pro footballer (context required as at the time, Latvian football accordingly was poor) who described us as excellent and a great watch. I'd agree but I'm hesitant to get excited as I know my beloved Bradford City can disappoint as well as excite

Shout out for Richie Smallwood. Taken a bit of stick but has for many games been effectively on his own in midfield. Now with this line-up we are seeing the best of him. Marshalling the team, quick and accurate passing averting the opposition press. Sure, others have improved with the way the teams playing at the moment but I do feel a lot of what Smallwood does is missed by some.
