It's hard not to feel for their fans.

We've suffered similar under our clueless owner, who appointed a CEO who changes course with every managerial appointment.

Appointing Williamson and trying to play pretty football when they're in the toilet bowl is just a sad state of affairs, but we did the same in League One and understand, to a man, that without knowledgeable, pragmatic people any football club is hamstrung.

They probably will go down and just like us, it's not really about the calibre of player or even the coach, it's the poor leadership, not having a plan, and making daft low percentage decisions like: let's suddenly try and play football this exact way.

As all fans will likely be asking at Carlisle: WHY???

 

I vaguely remember the fox incident, back in the day it wasn't unusual to sink several pints prior to the game and then stand in that blazing heat.
I had a quick look on goggle with regards the fox thinking may be their mascot but I couldn't find any sort of link to a fox ?.

 

Think they should try and keep the faith, sitters aside, I was quite relieved when the half time whistle went and we weren't behind.

Different game second half though.

We do look a solid unit and fitter, GA was right there Carlisle blooding a lot of new players with not much first team football could play a part - fitness.

Hoping Morecambe go down, Carlise I would like to stay up even though they did one over on us in the playoffs, funny how things can change.

 

He gave up his job as a kitchen fitter to sign for Barnsley!

He played like someone who's a seasoned professional with 100s of professional games under his belt rather than just his 2nd season. He's had 2 very poor games this season (away at Walsall and Notts County) but he's responded very well to both with good performances even after losing his LCB spot to Kelly. His gamesmanship to win cheap fouls to take pressure off the defence is some of the best we've had since McMahon. I think Barnsley have done exactly the right thing in letting him stay here where he'll keep learning and developing.

 

The very small minority did just like the very small minority of our fans broke down the segregation gate and spat at one of our stewards who was working at the match. Every fanbase has it's idiots and you can't judge a full fanbase by their actions.

 

Lets hope Barnsley can get promoted and either sell him to us or if we get into League One allow him another full season at Valley Parade ?.

 

I want to defend NM, he tells it how he sees it which is very welcome, and now he has shown great maturity when he notices a player who is playing better.

Saw this lovely snippet from one of them.
“After reading how happy some of your fans are at beating us, I do find this weird. Especially the hatred some have for us. Should you not be hating Sparky Hughes for making the worse substitution I’ve ever seen in my lifetime!”

If only he knew just how much that substitution pissed us off.
