The lad is currently on loan at Southend but hasn't trained with them all week, sounds like they they were just waiting for the go-ahead so yeah probably something to do with management. Similarly they are selling Joe Taylor today to Huddersfield for £3m. He played against us the past few season on his loans.

Yeah they need it. Wycombe are falling off a little this month but Birmingham are should be up, Wrexham have a boat load of strikers on the books and are trying to get 2 off Leeds. Huddersfield needed to add goals to have a chance at autos for me.

 

If that was us and you knew there was going to be 15 minutes left with the score 1-0 would you be happy if Alexander put on a young midfielder instead of a striker (who's got 7 goals in the league this season) when that midfielder has only made the squad for 3 of the 4 EFL Trophy game and only been on the bench twice in the league. The reality is if they were playing any other team or Ashley Young wasn't his dad he wouldn't have even made the squad. This was an FA Cup not not a charity match, if the game was over and they had 1 sub left then fine but at that point the game was in the balance with a chance of forcing extra time.

Yes I would want GA to put the lad on. He could have made history and Peterborough are not going to win the FA Cup. I understand your thinking, but some times, the sake of history could be more important than a small club near London making a couple of quid getting smashed by a big team in the next round

 

I 100% would want GA to do so. It's a tournament for moments with this round likely being the limit for Posh. It's not like Peterborough were in the game, they barely had an effort on goal, Everton were in 2nd gear after scoring in the first half. Young has been playing as a striker all season in their youth squad they were saying, I doubt Everton had much tape on the lad, he was an unknown. I'd have thrown him on.

 

The lad would have had fire in his belly to do well too knowing all the attention was on him

 

How often is the FA Cup accused of losing its soul these days?
Putting him on would be something that both of them would remember forever.
I understand his commitment to trying to win the game but this was a chance to do something that’s never happened in 154 years of the FA Cup and obviously create history for his club.

Get him on and get your club all over the media.
