If I had to guess i'd go for homesick and never settled, and also maybe got told one thing from recruitment then the manager just wouldn't entertain him while he was being an *** on his way out of the club.

the homesickness/not settling would likely be something that the other managers couldn't overcome. him going back on loan to USA was probs the signal to show he was home sick, as you would think you could loan him out in the UK again at a lower level if he was willing to go, maybe he just started refusing loans to see what we would do with his contract, agents can put you up to that, epically when the moves gone so bad.

Matthew Hoppe was a great prospect at Schalke and had loads of teams sniffing around him when he was banging in goals in for them. Although he has lost his way I honestly can't see him coming here.

I think Sanderson will turn out to be a decent footballer. At the moment he lacks that instinct to attack the ball in dengerous areas after he gets into decent positions his ball control and basic skills are good

u21 games tend to be faster than L2 with less stoppage time.

 

It wasn't yourself I was particularly disagreeing with to be fair. There were posters suggesting it was the same role as they were playing as a right hand sided defender.

We've seen the performances of Halliday playing that role and similarly Ridehalgh on the left (not to mention BH at LWB) so quite why some people still think the transition is seamless is anyone's guess.

 

Oh god, hoppe-fully we're not even contemplating this. There is a very good reason Boro have let him go

 

If it gets rid of Baldwin I'd be going through which one of Rehman, Jason Gavin or Matthew Bates we should re sign.
