He was a liability and doesn’t have much sympathy from me tbh. When you wear a captains armband you are representing the club and supposed to lead your teammates. The armband can’t be thrown around in anger as thats disrespecting your teammates, the fans, your manager and the club.

i don’t know exactly what went on with Leigh but the description of him folding up a shirt and moving it to the next seat doesn’t smack of disrespect to me. More stupidity than anything, or just being away with the fairies, not thinking how the fans may interpret it.

 

OK I understand the difference between the two. But the O'Connor thing was still blown out of all proportion. Anyway apologies for digressing. Back to transfers

Kavanagh doesn't concern me. He is ours and we can develop him, and I think he will do well for us.

As for Draper, yes he's young, but like Mellon, has a really good goalscoring spell already under his belt in this league. If I recall, we struggled to handle him last season when at Walsall.

I think it's telling from the fact that we are being linked to players that the club are taking it seriously and getting the players through the door. I know bare minimum but it's also looking good. We simply have to go up.

Vadaine Oliver. I feel for the guy, it's not worked for him. But when he plays he puts the effort in. It must be really hard at a club where you're not playing and you don't fit in. I know we're paying him, but that's not his fault. We gave him the contract.

Just seen Sanderson has gone back. Hopefully means someone else coming in today.

The thing that concerns me about Draper is that he hasn't made a single appearance this season, so who knows where his fitness & ability are, not to mention the age

We need more experience to lead the line imo

You keep applauding the "all involved" Shoatsy, but make no mistake it is us fans that deserve the biggest round of applause.

 

My worry with all these loans are that we must be making some sort of commitment to play them, otherwise why send them here? So with Draper and Mellon, they are good strikers (or were last season) but they will have to play I'm guessing? Which stunts Kav. If we play 2 up top and drop an attacking mid, Pointon could then suffer for gametime.

I like having loans but not all in the same area.

 

Unless we've got injuries and then that's the reason why we aren't top.

 

Thanks Jon, I was still trying to work out if I'd mentioned it previously.

 

They were saying he'd been signed as RCB and when I mentioned the fact he'd only played there 12 times in his entire career it was brushed off as being the same role as RB anyway.

What I suggested is EXACTLY what some posters were saying but the posts are still there I'd imagine if anyone wanted to prove me wrong.

 

Looks like he as played 28 games this season for Lincoln.
