January 2025 Transfer Window

We are going to walk the second half of the season with all the names we are linked with

 

I appreciate that there's a long way to go in the window but the impression being given is that we won't worry about fixing the individual defensive errors that have occurred so far and we'll focus on scoring more goals than whoever we play.

I said it at the start of the season, with all these attacking players we have, if Alexander can't set up the team with a formation and tactics to score enough goals then he is really underperforming. No excuse for us not creating enough chances to win games now.

 

Our forwards for the second half of the season of Mellon, Draper, Kavanagh and probably Oliver, I would be happy with that but this is Bradford city and my hopes are usually dashed

 

Draper for Sanderson would be a huge upgrade. Guessing Kav would drop to 3rd choice pretty comfortably? If that loan swap happens, and we get Tomkinson on loan too, that would take us to 6 loans so one would need to be left out of the matchday squad. Guessing it would be Khela given how many midfielders we have.

 

Reckon more likely to be Benn, especially if Johnson is close to being available.

I keep forgetting that Johnson is here to be honest. Yeah it would be between those two for sure, unless we really like Benn and made an offer? Benns deal at Lincoln is up this summer apparently.

What am I missing? His record , age and inexperience not a concern like Kavanagh?

 

I nearly said who is Oliver…..try to put him to the back of my mind.

 

Put it the other way of experience and record when he signed for us in Oliver.

 

Young and upcoming forward for Lincoln.

Very probably, that wasn't my point. I wasn't casting aspersions about Leigh's character. Merely noting that if enough of the MK support has now put you on their sh!t list, then it's very difficult to regain a place in their affections. And when that happens it's often best to cut your losses and seek alternative employment elsewhere. In his case, possibly City.

 

It sounds like he folded it up too and placed it on the next seat, too? If he’d angrily thrown it on the next seat in frustration after getting subbed I could see their fans having a reason to moan.

 

The vadaine oliver issue.. I know ideally he gets a new club.. but the likelihood is not there. I assume he wants similar wages wherever he goes.. but he won't because he hasn't played... SO, could it be a stretch to ask Herr Rupp for an investment in paying him off to leave

 

You can ask……..but I doubt he will. Oliver cannot expect the same money we have thrown at him. He hasn’t done anything at all, he looks finished to me, unless he wants to drop into the NL.
