He capitalised on a Baldwin mistake and sprinted down the left only to get in a position to look for a teammate and there wasn’t one anywhere near him.

Our dominance in midfield completely nullified any hope they had of supporting their lone striker.

 

As a comparison to the Hughes season, we are on 38 points from 24 matches.
After 24 matches in the 22/23 season we were on 39 points.
We then failed to win any of the next 3 games, drawing them all.
We had lost more games as well, 7.
I think with a good January and a few more reinforcements joining us, we can surpass the play off season.
There's no stand outs apart from Walsall and I can still see us beating them in 3 weeks.

You can't play well with the balll every week. That's fair enough. But the intensity of how we hunted the ball set the tone for how we then played when we won it. That's what GA should be drilling into the players. You can be like tigers, week in, week out. Do all the ugly stuff well and it'll translate into dangerous performances with the ball more often than not.

 

Unfortunately when we win and win well some use it as an excuse for our performance, I expected more from a team who like us were just outside the play offs but we never let them settle into any sort of rhythm, anyone who wasn't entertained today or didn't enjoy the game need to start watching another sport.

 

It's always like that on there , we are winning the league 1 week relegated the next ; I would suggest either is unlikely .

I thought you did a job on us today , stopped our main threats and passing it from the back and into midfield your press worked very well . We were probably off it a bit but I would say Bradford made us look worse than it was ; a complete turnaround to the reverse fixture . I thought the left wing back terrorised our right back at times hence him being withdrawn before probably being sent off , Sarcevic and the lad up top pretty good aswell maybe Cook missing won't be as bad as feared ?

It could have been 5 or 6 if it wasn't for a very good goalkeeping performance from our lad in net .

Artell didn't even attempt to change it at half time despite not being in the game at all. Shocking management.

Vernam made a massive difference in the game at your place, why did your manager persist in making you play out from the back (even you allude to it not working), was he the only one in the ground who could not see the amount of times with our high press you gave the ball away.

Absolute rubbish. We could easily have won by 5 or 6 and played some lovely stuff at times. I've been hyper critical at times this season but credit where it's due, it was an excellent team performance today.

 

It was embarrassing watching them do it.
