Been called worse on here in the past!
The Dr gave me a choice for the op aswell.
Said if I'm not wanting to return to contact sport then you can quite easily live with it ruptured and many people take that as an option.
If mine was to snap a 3rd time I'd leave it as I have no hamstrings left for them to take to repair it, dr said its be taken from my quad which is very painful

Just watched it again and I can't believe how Baldwin thought he might get away to with a push, shoulder to shoulder yes but he left the referee with little option, as many have said Dallas was going nowhere at that speed there wasn't a need for the challenge Dallas couldn't have controlled the ball to cut in, IMO we were comfortable and would have gone on the get all 3 points.

Had medial meniscus problems, years ago, in both knees. Had to give up rugby and especially football. I was told if I had an operation, it would extremely likely lead to arthritis in the future, with worse effects on my mobility. For a couple of years the knees would suddenly buckle and then ‘lock up’. I sadly gave up both sports. Now swim a lot. Thankfully given gentler forms of exercise, the issues have ceased.

When i had my first scan they said my k ee was a right mess! ACL completely snapped and meniscus damaged! Had meniscus shaved and cleaned up during op, my operated knee is now stronger then the other. The surgery was very painful though.

Pic is 2 weeks after surgery

My son did his ACL on his right knee, but it took a month for the doc to realise what he had done.Had the surgery done at Halifax general, but while waiting he carried on working.Same as you,it was fine as long as he didn't turn on it.

That’s what was related to me the other week, ie many who tried to be clever thought it was apt then but now the tables turned, I thought I’d repeat it . Like I say multiple times BL, data can be manipulated to suit any narrative. Just shows again that most defenders in the division bar one or two are “ bang average “ . And on current performance Counties defence is no better, if we go by those stats that were used to try and prove I was wrong, or no worse than ours. Both pretty bang average .

Banter apart, It doesn’t hide the fact that’s yesterday our defender and keeper were way below average, bit like NC’s

Did you watch that 2 min video I mentioned ?

He had the chance to take the attacker down here which is only a free kick a long way out, by the time the attacker is in the box he's away from Byrne. It was the lowest mistake out of the 3 but at that time of the match in that position it I think was worth the risk.

Have done some quick analysis on the goals from a 'coaching' perspective. Details in the attached document. In summary, my view is that all 3 central defenders were individually and collectively responsible for mistakes / poor decisions leading to the goals!!

I suppose the alternative is that he could have stayed with him and forced him wide. Half a metre back here. He had around 30% of the pitch to track him down.

    Byrne is dog shit.
He’s backtracking when Acquah goes past him and he just hasn’t got the pace to get anywhere near him.

    He does it regular.
Sometimes it getting too tight and once the pacy attacker is away he’s no chance.
Other times (like yesterday) he’s flat footed and once again when the pacy attacker is away he’s no chance.

Wouldn’t be anywhere near my starting eleven.

Who plays instead of him? The problem is that we have signed a load of bog standard L2 defenders which is why we are a bog standard L2 team.

    Nicely done that. Well done.

This also highlights a specific pattern of play that we have where we pass the ball around the oppositions penalty area which brings one of the three central defenders up into the opposition half to help out with this passing - for example Richards, Pointon and then Shepherd coming in, and we faff around with the ball, don't get it into a goal scoring position, then lose it and we face a counter attack with defenders that aren't quick enough to regain their positions or compete with the forwards.

Both Barrow goals sum up that scenario perfectly

On both occasions we are on the edge of their box and in no danger and within seconds they are breaking and causing us major issues
Byrne and Shepherd are so far out of position for the first that once their midfielder plays a ball over the top Baldwin has to come right across and has his brain fade.
Byrne for the second is just too slow and their guy just runs through on goal from virtually the halfway line.

Its just a little bit more pressing currently.
If Cook is out any period of time, then i think if we stick, then this season is finished and probably any other whilst Herr Rupp remains owner.
As i said this next few weeks could be very telling and Febuary could be very toxic.
I think the majority believe the man is full of bullshit. He now has the chance to prove us wrong.

Probably a red card as the last man, so backs against the wall defending, with no Cook either, to try and hold on at 1-1 . Horses for courses and maybe lose with 10 men.

I've watched Bryne closely a few times and he does get too tight and is turned easily. You see him reach out to grab the shirt, but then think better of it.

Great analysis Ian, thanks . What is clearly evident from the second goal , besides the awful defensive positioning is Walker approach and stance. Schoolboy stuff in the extreme .

If only we could have a settled back three instead if this resting tinkering b/s we might get some Co-ordination , alas?
