Injury List 2025

The club are waiting for the swelling to go down before sending him for a scan. I wouldn't be surprised if we get to this time next week and nothing more has been said or at most we are "awaiting results of the scan". With no game after Saturday until the 14th it gives the club a little more control with no press conferences where the question would be asked.

I'm struggling to think of what it could be that doesn't rule him out for a long time and I think we are thinking it's long term. Assuming it is a long term injury which means we have to go into the market for another striker I think it's in our interest to keep it quiet as long as possible because as soon as it gets out clubs will add 10% onto any valuation.

Didn’t Derek Adams put Cook on the bench when he was injured once? And when he brought him on he could hardly move. Completely laughable, and totally not thinking of Cook’s well-being.

 

Just waiting for a Matt Derbyshire type signing until the end of the season.

 

Not really, we are a Cook or nothing team anyway. It’s clear we need another forward!

Stop Cook, stop Bradford City, it’s that simple!

So, we need another striker, period!

 

If Cooks injury is going to be long term we will need 2 which will more than likely impact signing plans in other positions

 

T&A confirmed he still hasn't had the scan as the swelling is still there on his knee.

 

Well that’s not a good sign is it.

 

Well you know knee injuries are never great for a footballer.

No way will clubs think of adding a bit on to a buying club who have spent all season relying on one player to score all their goals and now are in deep shit after that scorer is potentially crocked if we keep it to ourselves.

As long as no other employees of any other clubs were watching the highlights of any games at all over the weekend we will be able to get somebody on the cheap.

Jamie Raynor has tweeted a quote from Grimsby manager David Artell that “the rumour is Cook has done his ACL”.

If that’s the case that’s him done for the season. Maybe into next season too.

 

Well iff thats true thats our season well and truly up the spout

 

We've been Andy Cook FC for a while now. Many have commented as to how we would be facing downwards not upwards if it wasn't for his goals, and the fact he has moved up to 4th all time whilst only being here such a short time says everything. His goals in the most part are crafted out by himself too, it's him winning headers off corner and him knocking in efforts are are barely half chances. If he had the kind of service that was seen at Wrexham or Stockport last season he would be pushing 40 goals a season.

I would hope this means those at the top will now seriously look at getting a short term replacement or a long term front man to cover the injury and complement him once back, but knowing the running of this club I fear that this is a ready made excuse not for our season to drift off into nothingness and see us limp of into the end of the season firmly mid table. I would love to be proven wrong, but with our owner and those in the positions of power at this club, I really can't see anything else but this used as an excuse for a season to fizzle out.
