It froze for long periods Dave. Two of my postings are well out of sync with the game .

I was thinking throughout their C/F was a Sunday League player , and then Walker with legs gaping like Thackley tunnel made him look like Haarland.

Even you must admit our position is probably better than our performances, this is a very mediocre division this season. We are average rather than decent.

But I think if we're being honest most of us would have taken 7pts over festive period after Notts C debacle.

Depending on the extent of Cook injury we will now really see the ambition and ability of those running our club - we already needed additional quality and to try and move on some of the previous deadwood before today and this just exasperates the situation - our other existing strikers are NOT the answer

He seems totally disinterested. When he had that attempt of a shot that screwed so wide of the goal shows me it’s time he moved on.

Just out of interest, which were the chances where with better finishing we would have won the game?

I don't recall us creating bugger all other than the goal. Pointon had a snapshot from a corner but other than that, nothing

Unfortunately, we don't have the quality at the forward end of the pitch to take advantage when we're on top and because our defence is weaker than last year, we inevitably give away chances and end up leaking goals.

Its what we saw in August - we've brought in more attacking players who don't want/aren't able to shoot/create and we've weakened our defence. We aren't going to score enough goals to be able to gain comfortable leads and we're only going to win if the opposition are wasteful - MK Dons being the classic example.

Not just the defence that will cost us promotion. As bad as the defensive mistakes have been (and annoying), if we got a few goals from players other than Andy Cook those mistakes wouldn't be hurting us so much. We needed someone like Huntingdon at the start of the season, solid CH and good organiser, even at 36/37.

I wonder if the extent of Cook's injury will influence who is prepared to come to us? If he going to be out for a while (please no...) then we might get a better quality player to come in knowing they will be first choice for a period? I think it potentially needs us needing two forwards now.

Recently got back, no lack of effort from two average L2 sides, frustrating flank play, congested midfield, Sanderson didn't do much (any shots on target?) and couldn't keep hold of the ball. Defence at sixes and sevens. Wasn't sure their first goal lead up wasn't half a yard offside would have to see again, a shame as we were looking more in control at that point.

Oduor some much needed skill and pace.

A draw seemed a fair result.

Definitely could. I'm sure some forwards will have turned us down in the last couple of windows as they didn't want to sit on the bench and knew they'd be behind Cook in the pecking order.
