Need another win really so that we sit in the leading pack rather than having to constantly chase and catch up with them.

Got to love your optimism Dave, hope you’re a bit more “comfortable” now. 3 points at Barrow (Pointon winner after coming on from the bench) who knows.

Better second half, as soon as we stopped giving the ball away at the back they had nothing.

Markanday seemed to disappear second half. Patto was a legend today. Sarc had his best game.

    Good.

    Poor first 30 mins.
Rest of the game we deserved that.
Diving, begging, and officials who didn't see any of the Chesterfield fouls that deserved bookings.
Take that into it then praise is definitely due.

We definitely need Huntingdon there, Byrne and Baldwin are as bad as they were at the start of the season. Baldwin takes 10 games to get up to speed. Halliday was turned inside out on both wings and his playing days must be numbered. As for Chesterfield, that’s some team they have with so many out, and they still had very talented midfielders. Thats what investment looks like.

Good win playing with 10 (Wright) and against 14

Quick side, didn't think their press was as good as we made it look, but they were certainly mobile.

Should have scored 3 or 4 in the first half.

You can see why they’re the leading scorers. Saying that, Chesterfield seem to have always scored goals.

Same here -- and I managed to make it worse by my revised prediction: removed Sarcevic as a scorer and put in Pattison. And that was before the match-day drinks. It must be a Bantams thing.

A good win all the same, made better by winning from a losing position, and for the first time this season winning after drawing at HT.

Alexander confirms George Lapslie is the player we've signed, and another signed but it will be a loan.

Walker gone then most likely as many have predicted.
Loan will be interesting-didn’t someone say there was someone from Burnley in the stands,?

To be fair Jamie has been very much in and out form wise, I agree no point in keeping him if we can get rid of a possible high wage earner.

So Wright didn’t commit when up front (GA’s words) and we all know he’ll never be a wingback.

    Not sure what he offers.

Don’t want a pile on but he did absolutely nothing in either position today.

Chesterfield will be kicking themselves, would have been 3 up if they'd taken their chances like Notts County did. Pointon scoring with our first effort got us away with murder. Better second half as they faded. Still don't create enough for me but it's the classic case of taking your chances.

Strange formation to start which left Halliday out to dry. Whether a technical swap when Bobby came on, it worked as midfield we got control of.

Second half much better as we got in there face and just about deserved.

Mandeville will still be wondering how he put the first chance wide of the goal.
We gifted them so many opportunities in the first half that to be 1-1 at HT was very very lucky.
Lot better second half but Smallwood still passed by their midfield far too often

I went to Walsall and in all honesty I didn't expect them to be where they are, first half they looked very good early doors once Sanderson equalized we started to get a foot in the game second half we were the better team IMO, until they won that free kick (soft call) and completed what looked like a training pitch routine, giving us little time to sort ourselves out at the back.

Kid from Stockport called Mellon couldnt suss out if it was for us or Chesterfield

3 points off the Automatics which shows again how bad it and if we dont get out then the recruitment yet again has been handled poorly :(

Apart from the first half hour we deserved it but why drop Bobby ??????? He got fortunate today that mpre damage wasnt done before he came on

Exactly how I saw it. They were a far better side than Port Vale and will finish higher than them. I'll give credit where it's due they were very good first half with us again offering very little in central midfield. I'd swap Ollie Banks for Smallwood tomorrow. Luckily their number 6 and 15 were crap, always gonna be a mistake from one of them.
