    I don’t care whether the club gives a shit about me, I don’t crave for affection, I thought that was evidently noticable ? I have paid my dues , more than most on this forum , bit like Dave @Bronco@Bronco etc, I rest very very easy in that knowledge. So those with an alternative view , no matter who they are , are graced with my opinion, just like I am with their entitlement to voice theirs. That’s how forums work isn’t it?

    Those who actually pay into the club by purchasing a ticket.

    What do you mean by the ‘break down’?

    So we accept that when the VP lease comes up that we give notice to Gibb and groundshare with a localish club with a capacity somewhere near 10000?
    Gibb shits himself and either sells the ground back cheap or accepts lower rent depending on the level we are at.
    Ie. League 2 = £100k p.a
    League 1 = £250k p.a
    champ = £500k p.a (current price)
    PL = £1-2 million p.a

    No serious investor is buying us without the ownership of the ground or a guaranteed figure that Gibb would accept.

    I don't think he did saying when they came with regards timescale he/they would finance the club when needed I think most would accept he'd been told by his buddy Rahic there would be little need for massive cash injections as Rahic would unearth previously unfound talent and sell them on, I assume in a similar way as Posh do.

    I don’t accept that. Plenty of clubs have been bought without owning the ground. From memory in recent years

    Coventry don’t own the Ricoh/CBS Arena
    Walsall, who again from memory paid a similar rent to City
    Ipswich were sold a few years ago without owning Portman Road
    Wagmi bought Crawley and don’t or didn’t own the stadium
    I don’t believe Man City own the Etihad

    Not owning the ground is an excuse. If the stadium is bought Rupp would presumably add the cost to the selling price. It’s not coming for free.

    Sadly once again it seems some fans can't/won't accept why others are still financing our club etc, openly quoting those fans are the reason behind the club being where it is.
    As with anything in life if you don't think the product you've purchased is good value don't buy the product it is that simple, to blame fan's that do is rubbish, neither you or I need to give reasons for our actions just as those who refuse to renew shouldn't be questioned it's no one else's business.

    It depends doesn’t it Kev, if you can’t afford to pay your mortgage and making a loss is the only way to not lose the house for nothing then to a degree you can be forced into a less than ideal sale.

    Unfortunately it seems to be a modern thing "name blame" I will repeat the only time I won't be renewing my season ticket is when I'm unable to, if some don't like it tough.

    No it shouldn't, it should come down to the fact of are you happy to continue to support your club even when it it is being run poorly - loyalty to the club is one of many deciding factors in renewing the season ticket... those who just blindly renew you have to question what do they want their club to achieve and what standards should be set.

    Add Newcastle United, Chelsea and West Ham to your list of ‘don’t own their grounds’. Down the leagues, the teams like Huddersfield, Stockport and even Morecambe don’t own their grounds. I am sure there are more.
    Ground ownership is not essential

    The ground is a red herring. If Rupp lowers his asking price and fecks off that would do more for the future of this club than buying an asset we are already performing in and struggling in due to his poor leadership.

    is a lack of budget holding us back? Thats the only argument for buying the ground right now. I don’t think it is. For me, our problem is poor leadership from an apathetic owner.

    two good wins this week doesnt change the fact we need him out. ASAP

    What if you could afford your mortgage if you put less luxury furniture in it? Would you keep the house or sell it?

    What if we go up automatically, do we still need him out?
    Yes if he won’t invest to make us competitive in league 1.

    The sad thing it will all go quiet again because we have won a couple of games and magically he will put his money back in his pocket because he will be told we have enough to get us out of this league.
