Can we add an alternative situation?

We do nothing and continue to support and are still relegated, which naturally leads to a fall in income and may cause us to go bust.

In this alternative reality, fans have taken no action against incompetence and just meekly accepted it.

Who knows? Boycotts could force Rupp to panic and sell for a knockdown price, and the fanbase could be reunited under new leadership.

The reality is that there are no guarantees either way, sadly, but I do know under this leadership, we will not have success. I really hope a buyer comes along soon and isn't scared away by the German cowboys asking price.

Rupp may not be the owner we all want and I am really not a fan of his due to his distant running of one of his businesses.
And that’s exactly what he is, a businessman, not a fan who has emotional connection to a football club.
Personally I’d like the see the back of him but only if he sells to guarantee the club to a genuine buyer.

Financially crippling the club by not renewing tickets in the hope he cuts his losses is a massive gamble and one fans cannot take lightly

On the other hand, we are seeing long serving fans, missing games or thinking about not renewing
As one of those long serving fans, the one thing I would never do is refuse to renew my ticket, but if I chose to miss 23 home games due to my own discontent around the club situation then that would be my choice.
As not renewing is also every fans own choice

Here’s an idea. Instead of buying a ST, Fans club together to raise 10m to buy the club from Rupp, then sell for 5m to a buyer who can take the club forwards. A £500 loss per fan but this could be offset by new owners giving £100 discount on ST for 5 years.
    Or
Fans club together, make an offer to buy the ground from Gibb, inflate the rent to something ridiculous which forces the club into administration.
Rupp is forced out, new owner buys club from administrators for knock down price and fans sell ground back to club or charge lower rent.

Far fetched ideas I know but no more unrealistic than thinking Rupp will sell for less than his asking price due to boycotting fans.

Agree but he hasn’t , so he obviously won’t sell until someone meets his asking price. No different to me putting my house up for sale and sombody offering £xxxk less……I don’t have to accept it Loz. I nor he can be “ forced” to sell .

Faithful is one thing , running a multi million pound business is another.

Considering yesterday’s so called “Im not going boycott” , many said the “ visible “ attendance at VP was the best for many a week. Seems like not many fans agree with the minority on here that starving the club of funds believe is a sensible way forward .? Perhaps they are more faithful than one imagines? This forum , like it or not does NOT speak for the majority of fans. It may have a voice , sure, but it’s not always right and it’s not the only opinion..

Sorry to remind people but we have had this debate many times. And if City are not at VP, who's moving in and going to pay the current rent?

Oh silly me, I forgot, no problems, Rupp is currently buying it and will in due course donate it to the Club for free......allegedly

That's right but he must know as well as anyone that the further down we go, the less we are worth especially if support falls below the cost of the rent

That is a very very very simplistic chain of events and quite naiive in us all thinking that is the realistic outcome of the course of action.
And why wouldn't the highlighted points occur prior to your very first points made? Prior to eviction or relegation?
Whole host of permutations before, during and after any proposed fan actions.

The whole 'do nothing' attitude from fans hasn't worked for years and is now simply allowing Rupp and Sparks to bumble along directionless with 'OUR' club whilst we see smaller less well funded clubs overtake us and progress up the leagues!! An owner who has no interest, incompetent CEO, garbage recruitment team. We've pi**ed money up the wall time after time paying off manager after manager, recruiting dross after dross with no tangible improvement on the field whatsoever due to incompetence!! We'll continue to stagnate (at best) or regress...

No action just allows them to continue to mis-manage and be dis-interested in 'OUR' club!!

To quote yourself - Are you following? Is any of this making sense to you or have you got your head in the sand....

What is valued more to a buyer, a club Franchise in the EFL or NL? To me it’s common sense, which is valued more.

I don’t think there was a boycott, I think people are just sick to death of wasting their time and money on garbage.

I do agree with you that there are a lot of faithful fans though, just look at our avg attendance, since 13/14 we have had at least 13,000 every season, we are the best supported side in league 2 by miles. That’s the that’s the saddest thing in my opinion, most folk on this forum are the hardcore fans, the ones that follow everything Bradford City, the ones that care enough to read and post about the club every day. If those long standing fans are losing the will due to the incompetence of the people running the club then that’s a great shame. Trying to point score with ‘ha ha you didn’t attended and we won’ is pretty low.

Sorry being sick of being taking for a mug by someone who couldnt give a toss about anyone.

If thats gonna have the odd loon have a pop then so be it but would rather push towards some kind of action thansimply turning up year after and handing my money over to lying twats that cannot even get the basics right

Oh I can go lower , how many on here made a great drama of not going , yet actually went….. ? We all know the EFL demand reporting on “ tickets sold” , as opposed to bums on seats , however the number of ACTUAL bums on seats was said to be quite higher than it has been recently . So if you can explain why that is , I’d be happy to listen . … How many more times does it need explaining that a few contributors on here arnt the complete voice of the BCAFC fan base.

Like it or not the “I’m not going” mini boycott resulted in a higher total number of tickets sold than previously experienced….What low in pointing that out…It’s basic mathematics even excluding the 1300 from Stoke.

No one is saying that this forum is ‘the complete voice of the BCAFC fan base’ you are arguing with an invisible enemy again… as usual.
29 people on that poll said they were not going to attend, there was no boycott.

Oh, is this the same scenario as ‘I’m not renewing’ but yet we sold more ST’s this year than last even with a price rise.

That's not actually true though is it? We sold less (still an amazing amount given what we have to put up with though).

    “ Said”

You are spot on, a ridiculous poll , which flagged up “29” supporters weren’t attending , proved absolutely nothing, especially as we readily accept bums on seats were HIGHER than of late….?

Interesting to know the demographic of ticket holders, i personally know of quite a few long time fans that didn't renew, a couple of dozen. The club did very well to hit the numbers they did despite two prices in recent years. There never will be a huge drop off in numbers which is good news for Rupp. I think he could survive for quite a few years without putting any more money in.
