He was Dave , at least a “ foot” in play, I noticed in the first half and it carried on. Even with the Lino stood next to him!

 

A well deserved win today against Vale who despite recent setbacks have tge best away record in the league a good performance to match

A good win, but as long as we are so reliant on Cook we won’t get anywhere long term. Keep him quiet and we simply don’t win. Thankfully he scored two great goals today. Chesterfield are apparently depleted, so play well and it could be a very unlikely 6 points over the festive period.

 

No ones doubting Cook, it's his teammates we're worried about...

 

I think a few played well today. Richards is getting stronger every game played well Pointon is beginning to play for 90 minutes now and did well and the four centre halves over the match did most things well. There is no doubt though we are desperately in need of a second regular goalscorer.

 

I thought Ciaran Kelly made a difference, myself.

I think Shepherd has largely had a good season, Notts County aside of course, but Kelly is a solid L2 defender himself. I think he'll benefit from playing alongside Huntington, too.

 

Agree. Kav is good for the press only though, hence him keeping getting starts. Our lack of ability to hold anything up top really hampers transition. Sanderson's touch and control far superior but not got Kav's running in his legs.

Be interesting to see how Pattison slots back in with Sarcevic getting back up to speed.

 

Hoping Huntington not out due to coming off. Has made a real difference back there. Excellent player and organiser even at his age.

If Chesterfield are as bad in midfield as Port Vale were we should win. Honestly they weren't much better than Swindon. I remember some on here wanting us to sign Croasdale, christ he made Smallwood look mobile.
Sums up this division for me. Anyone can beat anyone, Walsall the only standout team in the division.

 

Yes agree about Croasdale, he was poor yesterday. I thought Ethan Chislett (10) looked decent though. To be honest though, based on yesterday, there wasn't one Vale player I thought I would like to see in a City shirt.
