Needs to be shared in German media to get Stefan's attention.

The question for me is whether Simon Parker and the bosses at the T & A publish the open letter in full, or even acknowledge its existence in the next couple of days.

    I won’t hold my breath.

I was the same. My husband on the other hand said no but gave into me. Now I am getting the “I told you so” on repeat. We have hardly been to any home games and no away games. Time is up no persuasion from me. I could do other things with that money.

I still can't wrap my head around why Sparks doesn't resign.

Resignation is much more palatable than being sacked.

I guess he's determined to 'ride out the storm', not realizing that he is the cause of many of our issues. Probably someone has had his ear telling him how good it will look for him if he defies the critics in the medium-to-long term. After all, the next Parky is just round the corner :dizzy:

With the ever growing unrest among fans, there will be sponsors becoming aware of that unrest and becoming uneasy. Money is what talks and SR won't let his investment fail so if both ST and sponsorship revenue drop he will have to prop it up, and prop it up again and again. May as well sell for a more realistic price and perhaps at least break even. If not then he must show willingness to invest and we as fans must not get suckered again by false promises. SR shows intent then the fans will do likewise

Never get a comparable job like it again Salary Car Pension Perks etc etc why would he resign
I don't believe like us lot Claret and Amber runs through his veins so he's in it for the money/prestige
The only way he leaves is under new ownership Mr Rupp isn't interested who runs the club remember the mantra "don't go bust and don't go down" pretty low bar for him to achieve when you consider that

Because he's not competent or suitable for the role.

How many of us would go to work day in, day out knowing we aren't good enough at what we're asked to do?

I get some people are just brazen and headstrong enough to not really care, but I dunno. It's a question of self-respect.

James Mason has bounced around the local area doing this or that, I'm sure Ryan Sparks could - and his chances are better if he hasn't been shamefully sacked in full public view, no?

    Maybe I'm just wrong.

Rupp may not read the letter or take it seriously if he does read it right now but I wouldn't be surprised if he roots around in the waste paper basket when he wants to work out why season ticket renewals have taken a dive.

Of course, we could all renew in which case the letter will stay in the bin and we can have this conversation again in a year's time.

As you rightly infer, resigning in this kind of situation still requires a level of integrity and self-respect which is necessary to counter the enormous ego!

    Isn't it!

That's why I'm assuming he has a worm in his ear telling him it will all blow over and he's making all the right moves or some nonsense.

The fans didn't scream that at Pointon, you've altered it to suit a narrative. It was a black humour chant aimed at the whole squad, when Pointon came off to be subbed it was chants of 'not your fault Bobby' etc.

They were still screaming it when the team came across from the tunnel, Bobby in front. I know what I saw and heard

We're you there? On any case my point still stands - it's the players who feel the full force of the fans vitriol, not Sparkes or Sharpe or Rupp.

If Rupp sees that his investment could fall to zero because the club goes under. I think there's every chance that he sells before that at a reduced asking price to try and recoup something rather than nothing.

Yes, a campaign that attempts to starve the club of funds is undoubtedly risky. But the way I see it, City are currently a club with a slowly progressing but ultimately deadly disease anyway.

The numbers of ST's sold will continue to dwindle under this regime. Either budgets will fall [or, unlikely, Rupp will have to put his hand in his pocket to makeup the shortfall necessary to protect our EFL status and his investment] and the risk of becoming the next Oldham, Rochdale or even Bury will increase with every season.

In some important and significant ways, we're better off attempting to try and enforce change now, rather than wait until there's very little hope that anything can be salvaged. We're still an EFL club, it's far harder and more expensive to regain that position than it is to maintain it, as we've seen with a lot of the clubs that have fallen through that trap door.

Fully agree Mrs O regarding the silent fans for them none attendance will be a natural process with the faire thats been on show this season and last, most on here have the city DNA but for them Saturday afternoon could soon be accommodated by othe things, the club got away with it this time but iff things dont alter on the pitch well you can kid people some of the time

I said similar a few weeks back. The only conclusion I could come up with is that Sparks is fully aware he will never earn like this again and is going to milk this job dry.

He's never going to get another CEO role, there's no club in the nation that would look at his CV and like it. His career is more important than the club and it's fanbase and that's his bottom line.

Maybe if Rupp turned up more than once every 3 months he’d see with his own eyes the shitshow that fans are getting more and more disillusioned with.

I'm not saying this is is correct, as my mind is all but made up now to not renew until Sparks is removed, but couldn't something less nuclear be implemented in the interim period until the end of the season.

One potential suggestion could be a delayed entry to the stadium, perhaps by 10 minutes, as a means of demonstrating the depth and intensity of discontent among supporters. Similar to an intention not to renew, if this showed the 'potential' impact on attendance this would surely make them take stock. At the minute, the threat not to renew remains just that due to what happened at the end of last season.

And we continue to witness 16,000+ crowds to put a smile on Rupp's face! ;)
