It was a casual comment to suggest that Rupp might not be affected if he lost his investment in Bradford City.

There seem to be numerous wannabe accountants on here and all of them seem to think they know how a multi millionaire would react to losing a few customers.

 

I’m certain that if there was a buyer willing to pay £10m then he’d sell but there isn’t and that’s his price.
He won’t just sell for a loss to appease a few hundred rebels on a fan forum.

 

There also a few on here who think that Jeff Bezos will start giving lots of stuff away on Amazon because he’s worth billions.

I’ve just looked and there is nothing available on Amazon that’s worth £500 quid that he’s selling for £1

I’m saying he’s unlikely to be affected either way no matter what he chooses to do but a handful of rebel fans shouting outside VP won’t ‘force’ him to sell for a price that the owner of Ali Baba Carpets can afford.

 

As it stands right now Rupp isn't losing money so has no reason to sell what will be one of numerous investments in his portfolio. The fans unfaltering support dictates that. And until someone comes along with an offer that matches his wishes he can carry on this way until he becomes bored of the whole thing. Its a similar analogy to Gibb and Valley Parade, the owner calls the shots. Fans can speculate on here and elsewhere about asking for a deal or threatening to move but fact is he's got us by the balls and can charge us whatever he wants within reason.

 

Exactly! Referring to Gibb, he can sit pretty for as long as he has a mug of a tenant willing to pay £500k every year.
The answer to that is we up sticks and leave. Why won’t we do that?
Why are we expecting the fans to give up doing something they want to do in a hope it forces Rupp to sell.
There’s no easy answer but Rupp is here to stay for now, the immediate problems are on the pitch and we need to keep winning that managerial wheel until we luckily stumble on a winning formation.

 

We've had this convo before, to quote a poker analogy, us threatening to leave Valley Parade is like going all in on a pair of twos. I read talk from fans saying getting relegated to the NL might be an option then it being berated for financial suicide, well that's exactly what leaving valley parade without a viable alternative in Bradford would be. Going to another city with a few thousand travelling? It's the same stupid thought process of fans thinking a drop to non league would be a good idea.

I dont undetstand the logic of it all ????the club knew yhis was aweak league 2 we all knew it was weak so why not a decent investment to actually nail this league one and for all.
This team somehow stands 3 points off the playoffs without even playing remotely well now just imagine with the right investment with the right recruitment what would happen ..............sadly we aint got that we have brought in players that MAY perform well if there injury prone body can stand up to 40 games plus...............rather than going for pace playersthat can see 40 odd games out and will be ready for league 1 unlike this shower

It's absolutely p!ss poor this year. Donny sitting in 3rd when they hadn't won at home in 3 months prior to Saturday tells you that. The golden opportunity is there this season but unfortunately not for us because incompetence runs through the veins of our football club.

I haven't said it is. You already know the answer to your question, unless someone stumps up an offer Rupp finds acceptable then he's here for the foreseeable future.
