There's a table somewhere that does an average league position then ranks everyone into a division and placing within the 92. That's an interesting read and I'll post it up if I can find it again.

I’m even more interested to know whether any of the folk suggesting that relegation to the NL would back the club in non league and pay the going rate for a season ticket in order to attempt promotion at the first time of asking.
For that we’d likely need enough funds to assemble a team capable of gaining over 100 points and scoring 100 goals like Wrexham , Notts and Chesterfield have done recently.
If we can’t do that we’d be in non league forever more

I think you're missing the point. Nobody is advocating relegation.

What people are saying is that action, such as non-renewal of ST's, is needed to force Rupp's hand into either proper investment, including replacing Sparks with somebody competent, or putting the club up for sale at a reasonable buying price.

Yourself and a couple of others are miscalculating the equation of non-renewal = relegation. It's a strange conclusion you make.

Numbers being down would force his hand into action, something that won't be done if we continue into mid-table L2 oblivion as we are doing.

 

Tbf to Vin I think he was saying clubs that get similar attendances rather than club history (which is a bit like my dad’s harder than your dad). But he is right, both clubs have gone through difficulties with their ownership’s in recent years and both have shown a lot more initiative to put pressure on them than us. I was disappointed it only took a few cheap words in Rupps name to stop the protests last time and sadly that lost their credibility. If they’d have carried on they could have gained real momentum. Rupp is beyond the point of no return now imo, the only way to keep credibility would be for him to publicly say the club is for sale, not at the rumoured silly price either.

 

It’s an even stranger conclusion you make that fans walking away = Rupp invests more money.

reality is if there’s less money from less fans then we have worse players and we go down. It’s not rocket science lad.

 

That begs the question; how many times in a season will Pattison and Evans be fit at the same time?
