He was poor yesterday, had no bearing on the game whatsoever.

I think the T&A assessment was about right, pretty much the whole squad managed a 5 with Ben and Richards 4

That’s City in a nutshell though isn’t it?
We have very few players who offer a bit of flair or a goal threat.
When they have poor games we just don’t have enough in the rest of the team to make up for it.

We’ve seen yesterday’s performance far too often in recent seasons.
Decent ish start (without much threat) but can’t get a goal.
Opposition score and we just don’t have enough to get back in to a game.
If we do equalise we very rarely go in to win games after being behind due to the negative way we set up.

    So frustrating.

Likewise 2/3 did nothing of merit, other than the one that buzzed about and had their defence at sea a few times but no end product.

    Overall a shabby performance .

Their tactics were spot on , sit back , (sometimes too far) and rely on pace and quick passing in the middle, where we lack pace , and upfront catching us too far up the field . I watched their highlights at Barrow and one might have watched a different side.

Sorry but that's no justification for not sacking the totally inept Alexander.

He is totally clueless with his tactics. His post match ramblings are a joke and an insult to the fans.

His continued blind faith with his clapped out captain is mind boggling.

His love of experienced, but seemingly over the hill players, is baffling.

It's always a youngster such as Pointon or Richards who he messes about or drops.

His bizarre notion that Tyriek Wright is better serving us as a wingback than his natural position as a winger is baffling.

I could go on and on about how he is failing, so just because we have an owner who isn't interested and a joke of a CEO, doesn't mean that it's not right to start searching for a new manager.

Time for David Sharp to get on the phone to Rupp and persuade him of this and brush Sparks aside and get on with the job of running the club for him, including identifying a new progressive manager.

I don't want us to bring in any new players in January under this failing manager. Save that for a new manager.

    Alexander Out!

We've only scored more than 1 goal in 6 of our 20 league games so far this season. Goals win games. We don't score them.

Why did he pick Sarcevic today when he's hardly played all season and wasn't match fit?

It's because he has no options in midfield.

I guarantee that if Gilliead hadn't left, he'd still be playing in midfield with Smallwood today.

We have a million attacking midfielders who don't know how to score and no one who can tackle and defend.

Crowley ran rings round out midfield literally last season at VP. We learn nothing and he did it again yesterday.
Still the 3 soft goals we gifted them marks this as a low nadir for the season to date.
6 seasons in league2. No sign of us ripping this (weaker) division up. It’s no wonder fingers are pointed at the clubs hierarchy. Even middle of the road WOAP seem to have shifted their stance.
    Attendances will weaken.
Sacking another manager isn’t the answer for me.
What I do know is I’m sick of it.

    He's too slow.
Technically very good but you need both pace and skill these days to be at the top.

No one put a mark on Crowley.
The guy is just back from injury.
Someone should have clattered him in the first 10 minutes and let him know hes not getting an easy time.

    It’s a recurring theme mate.
Last season we scored more than 1 goal in only 15 games out of 46.
And 5 of those games were in the last 7 when GA seemed to slightly take the shackles off and realise we might just nick a playoff place.

We all know it on here.
Unfortunately it looks like nothing has been learned and unless something miraculous happens in the Jan window,we’ll be having this same discussion again in May.

Cannot argue with any of that but if he does go your hoping that somehow they get it right when they continually to fook up time and again :(
I would actually be interested on how many managers in the past have turned us down due to our CEO and recruitment team ...........i gather GA was never first choice anyhow which says that a few managers who ae out of work turned us down

I've heard they are about to pay up his contract and release him, possibly along with Smith too

Another colossal waste of money with absolutely nothing to show for it. Yet another bunch of marquee signings for Sparks CV

Season Tickets will be nowhere near 10,000 next season if this continues.

Realistically promotion is way beyond our capabilities no way we could even fluke our way to L1
Until we somehow manage to replace the hierarchy we are mid table L2 fodder with the odd skirmish with both relegation and promotion thrown in to prompt some kind of interest
Mr Rupp our reluctant/distanced owner is the first to go (the rest would promptly follow) how on earth he thought buying a lower league club, not investing, and employing cheap labour would/still could show him a profit is beyond comprehension he needs to cut his losses and sell
A man with his business acumen should have known better
Mr Sparks our vastly inexperienced CEO who is entrusted to run the club sadly doesn't have the where with all to run a club his "sticking a pin in a piece of paper" approach to hiring/firing managers is testament to that every one of them surely can't be duds we all have our opinions
Mr Sharpe (Who !!) Has had no effect whatsoever what does he actually do or has he done
Mr Alexander I would show him the door this afternoon naive in every way but who wants to take the job and more importantly who is capable of appointing his replacement another dud
Mr Gent If paid on results would have been sacked long long ago but is still here can't think of many if any players he has brought to the club (off his own volition) who have proven to be a success
When these have gone and the mist has cleared we are left with
    A championship standard ground
And a long suffering fans base (which could quite easily be increased) who frankly deserve an awful lot better
L1 let alone championship which we were on the verge of before Mr Rupp took over is a mighty long way away !!!
