No pace up top gives us no out ball.
It's all in front of the oppositions defence.
Easy to defend so low numbers when it comes to chances.
    The XG stats show this.
    January vital.
    Some much needed pace.

Have to agree. Today we really saw the difference between Evan’s and Smallwood, the latter who struggled to switch play and slowed down a lot of our attacking play. Furthermore Evan’s quality of the passing allows the likes of Pointon and Kavanagh to get into the game much more.

When Pattison is out no one really moves with the ball. Quite a few opportunities to carry the ball today but no one wants to do it

Holloway arguing with the fans at FT, having to get pulled away by their players. Don't think he'll be there for long.....

Some seem to have a love in for the silly old tit. I'd be seething if I'd travelled all that way to be served up that shite

Sorry mate I thought giving Sarcevic 30 minutes was the right call coming back from injury, and when Jamie was eventually brought on I was hoping it would be for Bobby who was in danger of getting a second yellow because of his all out commitment, I thought his card for time wasting was a bit harsh but not unexpected from another very poor official.

Good first half, wholly forgettable second half

He was a character in his Blackpool days as there was just nobody like him at the top at the time, but it felt like his personality patched over his actual work.

But we're talking 15 years ago, a generation of footballers have come and gone and his career has just got worse and worse since and his style has never developed. Now his stuff like "the Swindon train ground is haunted" is just tiresome.

Smallwood. He really is a bete noire for me. The contrast between the way Pattison played on Tuesday and Smallwood today was huge. If Pattison maintains his form and remains injury free then he should always start and it should be one of Smallwood, Sarcevic and Evans for the other position. And for me Evans is streets ahead of the other two.

I can think of another benefit, there are so few decent shops left that it is very unlikely the wife will want to drag you around the City for some festive shopping

There was a free kick given against Cook, who was wearing his shirt as a necklace, with his sports bra on full display - but apparently he wasnt being fouled :joy:

Agree obviously we don't want to see our players get reds but there's a littler consolation in getting one if it's trying to stop a goal scoring chance but Pattison's was just petulant and put his fellow team mates under unnecessary pressure for the last 30 minutes in a game that we were hardly over run by a team that is sitting in an auto place.

Guess you haven’t travelled much recently then.? You’d be permanently angry.

Totally agree. Huntington looking like every bit the type of CB needed at this level to challenge. For me, he’s absolutely got the starting shirt in the middle of the 3 until performances dictate otherwise.

Evan’s I really really like the look of. He and Pattison could turn out to be an accidental perfect match…….but I don’t see it happening

Me too RT but to be fair, the transfer window system that Sparks gets so horribly wrong each and every season means you can't actually put too much blame on a gaffer when they can't make any changes.

Not that fans seem to have adjusted to the window system.

Managers should really refuse jobs when there is no scope to change things. Maybe in time managers will only sign with clubs during set periods ie before a window opens so they don't get the blame for club wide ineptitude.

Has there been any update on the Evans injury? Baldwin signalled straightaway to the bench to make the change so it might be a longer one which obviously isn’t good news for him. As good as he was we can’t keep signing players who play 1 in 10.

Enjoyed that today, entertaining game, decent performance, and 3 points on the board.
