Evans excellent first half, really positive on and off the ball. Huntington and Shepherd really good. A game we should be seeing out as Swindon really not at the races .

Perfect opportunity to switch play and keep the attack up but Smallwood had to do the pass back to keep possession. A win is great but this should be 4/5-0

Listening to the commentary I can't understand why the City players are not shooting from outside the penalty area.

 

They get fined for positivity. We are only allowed to score 1-0 then we have to waste time and grind out a result. It’s the Alexander way. Crap manager

 

I do not like Halliday faking head injuries. Someone tell him that we don’t fake head injuries at this club

 

We somehow made hard work of a comfortable game. Great to win but come on, Swindon are woeful and this second half was far too reserved.

A proper manager could do so much with everyone fit

Well, as games of football go... that was certainly one of them

Little quality but 3 points was a must and that's what we've got. It will take some beating to be as bad as Swindon this season. I wouldn't even say they were a defensive side or a cautious side, they were just utterly tragic on the ball. I think commentary said that Swindon had had two touches in the City box all game.

 

It would have been shocking if we'd have drawn that. Imagine the spin from GA.

A win is a win and gives some confidence for the coming games but there's a tough running coming.

 

Well I couldn't make it today due to lung infection but a very welcome result. Not a classic but never overly looked in any doubt of the 3 points.

Defensively, Huntington and Shepherd were excellent and Evans was solid in his 60 minutes of action. Kavanagh correctly won motm.
